I ordered from the Claremont location on 7/15. I came to get food with my cousin. I ordered a double cheeseburger with fries and he ordered just a burger. I took my food to go and when I got home I went to take a bite and the burger fell apart. You couldn’t even grab it the whole bottom was soggy and you couldn’t grab the bun. When I did take a bite I realized the whole burger was saw. Both patties were entirely pink like they didn’t even touch the grill for than 10 seconds. I was disgusted and I could have gotten sick. They also forgot to give me my fries. I’m not surprised they messed up the order. The whole restaurant seem understaffed. It seemed like they had only one person taking order serving the bar and serving food and like one person in the kitchen. There was apparently no manager there either. It seems that there’s only a manager there two days out of the week somehow as I was told. I called that same day to let them know. I just wanted my money back which I think was fair. They said that they could either remake it or give me a refund which I said I wanted a refund. They told me that I would have to wait for a manager to come in on the weekend in order for me to get my refund. They said they would take down my number and make note of it in order to tell the manager what happened. They said I would receive a call back letting me know when a manager came in so I could call or come in to discuss the issue. I never got a call back at all and when I called back, they said they didn’t recall the instance, but I let them know what happened the second time. They said again that they would write down what happened and they took down my number again and said I receive a call and they still didn’t call or let me know what would happen. They said that there would be a manager there Friday or Saturday after 1:30 so I went on Friday in person to take care of the issue. I spoke with the manager there Alyssa she seemed kind of rude and that she didn’t want to deal with the issue at all. I told her what happened and she didn’t want to hear anything I had to say. She said that she wasn’t made aware of either phone call or anything about a refund. There is clearly no management there. When I arrived and asked to talk to a manager the worker went and told her. She was just sitting down at the bar doing nothing, just on her phone. I was trying to tell her that I had pictures of the receipt and the food to prove what I was saying was true and that I had bought food and she just kept telling me repeatedly that she wouldn’t give me a refund and when I asked her why she said that it wasn’t part of the policy. She said the only thing she could offer is a remake, but I told her no I wanted my refund and she kept denying it to me. I don’t think there’s any reason why I shouldn’t be able to get a refund. She had actually told me in person that if that if the person had called her that she would’ve probably been able to walk him through a refund, which is contradictory to the fact that she said it’s not part of policy and that’s because there isn’t even a policy. She was just lying. I had called back to see if I could talk to someone else, but she was the manager that answered so I had another conversation with her. She just kept saying the same nonsense and when asked where is this so called policy or what is it. She said I’m not going to do this after being asked what the policy is. She kept saying I’m not going to do this after being asked multiple times and said have a good day. She lacks people skills and professionalism. I will never eat this...
Read moreWish I didn't have to write this because I've gone before and have had a great time and really enjoyed the food. But this time I went with my coworkers on Thursday 4/24/25 who have never gone and it was horrible, to the point they don't even want to give it another try even though they liked the food. The restaurant was busy but not slammed and we went on our lunch thinking it'd be quick, Ive gone with my husband before and never had a problem. We arrived just before 7pm and it took about 10 minutes before we were even asked if we were ready to order. We only get an hour lunch and figured this would be a quick spot, at this point we've already spent 15 ish minutes of lunch. I had overheard the woman state that she was supposed to be off but was asked to work. I could see she was rushing around trying to take care of things like ice, running the bar and getting food out so I figured they were going to be short-handed. My coworker ordered a head of me and another, so we when ordered after she asked if we were with the fundraiser and we told her no. That explained all the people and the crowd behind us now in line. We order, sit down and are chatting, seeing the restaurant fill up and notice that there are 3 cooks in the kitchen and no food is coming out. About 10 minutes later a guy gets his to go order and my coworker said something to him and he said he's been waiting over 20 minutes to get that. We continue to wait and notice only one other person's food has come out. We keep watching the 3 guys in the kitchen and they aren't getting food out. The girl running the front keeps going back to check on them and it seems to get them moving. At 730 I go and ask her if our food is coming out soon because we only have an hour lunch and we've already spent half of it waiting. She asks for our order numbers and goes to the back. We watch the whole time she's back there. About 10 minutes later she brings our food out. She had to go back there and make our food. Which we now had to rush to eat so we could get back to work on time. This poor lady is already running the front and the bar/table service and is having to go back and run the kitchen when there were literally 3! guys back there. If I didn't say anything we probably would have waited until our lunch was over. I don't know if they were new or if there was even a manager there that night but that's sad for having a fundraiser event and having no staff in the front and 3 people in the back messing around not getting food out and the only person that was in the front has to go back to whip food out. If she's not a manager she should be or at least get a...
Read moreThis used to be the quintessential spot for Sunday football, but recent management changes have cast a shadow over that experience. It's truly disheartening, as this place was like my “Cheers” bar, where everyone knows your name. Belén was the heartbeat of our Sunday gatherings; her warm smile made the atmosphere vibrant and welcoming. Without her, everything feels off-kilter.
I've noticed her shifts have dwindled, and the overall vibe has shifted dramatically. I can't even rely on catching her for Monday Night Football anymore. I cherished the presence of Cass too, but her hours have also been cut. Now, Marlene is the lone bright spot on Sunday mornings, yet she's being stretched thin, left to navigate the chaos alone with minimal support from the new staff. There are times when she’s overwhelmed, managing all the bar orders and walk-in customers without any backup.
As for the new bar manager with the pink hair, she is pleasant but her presence seems elusive; she’s rarely in sight, making it difficult for us regulars to establish a rapport like we had with Belén, Marlene, Cass, and Garrick. She is not the right fit for the weekend crowd.
Honestly, without them, there’s little motivation to keep coming to this Dog Haus location. We return for their friendly interactions and bartending expertise, which is sorely lacking when they’re not around. I used to frequent this place multiple times a week, but now I find myself coming in just once, hoping Belén or Cass will be there. It’s truly disappointing.
I urge you to reconsider their schedules—give them more shifts, or be prepared to watch a wave of...
