There is something for everyone at The Open Door. They are kid and animal friendly. They do not have a huge food menu (cheese plates and snacks) but you can bring in your own food and have a drink (or two😉) from their place. They’ve got spirits that make wonderful cocktails, tasty craft beer/ciders/sours/stouts on tap, an awesome variety of bourbons, a huge selection of wines, slushies, barrel poured Manhattan, Old Fashioned and Tequila old fashioned. They have Mocktails, pop, juice, sparkling waters and non alcoholic beers/wines and slushies for the NA drinkers. Stay and have a drink or go in and buy your favorite wine, sprit or beer to go. The cool thing about the open door is that you don’t have to buy a full 4 pack. You can mix and match, you can buy the beers/sours/ciders/stouts etc by the can/bottle. To name a few breweries product they sell…they’ve got Goldfinger, Hop Butcher, Phase Three, Energy City, Karetas, Pipeworks, Bourbon County, Riggs, Manic and more. It was my second day in Chicago coming from India. I forget the bartender's name, the lady was so friendly and kind (I remember now, it was Laura). I had a great time over there, such nice vibes. My international card didn't work over there, so I offered to leave my id and stuff. She said no need, she trusted me...love you for that...There was this gentleman who offered to pay for me, and even after my attempts to dissuade, did pay. They were so accommodating and friendly, I love you guys... thanks. I'll be back someday and meet you guys again...all the best wishes... this is Amit... Bar and liquor store combo with a great atmosphere, friendly staff, and a great selection of whiskey and beer.

We had our rehearsal dinner there, and it was exactly what we wanted. Very much our style. Saved us a bunch of money doing it there vs our other options. And the nice thing was that we were able to cater whatever food we wanted there.

We also got the spirits for our wedding through them. They had the best prices from everything we vetted, and we were able to return all the unopened bottles that were leftover after the event.
