We came here for a double-date night with our friends and we throughly enjoyed ourselves! We also liked the decor of the place as it was a really nice vibe and atmosphere. They also have outdoor seating which is perfect for when the weather is nice. We did not wait long to be seated, 2 minutes or so and our server was Brandon who was very good. We even had a gentleman bring chips and salsa while we waited for our friends to arrive. The salsa was still warm so you could tell it was fresh. Once our friends arrived, we ordered drinks. My girlfriend and I got frozen margaritas. She got a strawberry one and I got a matrimonio which is a combination of lime and strawberry margarita mixed together. The drinks were very strong but very good! You could feel them after just a few sips which I like but my girlfriend had to pace herself as with most places they don't really go in heavy on the liquor. That's not the case here and you will get tipsy off of just one LOL but you really get your money's worth. I appreciate that about this place as it reminds me of one of my favorite places to visit that closed. Our friends arrived and also ordered drinks as well and we then ordered appetizers. The queso was really good and flavorful with a good mouthfeel texture and downright delicious! Highly recommend as we all enjoyed the queso. We then ordered some plantains which were also very good as they were crunchy on the outside but soft on the inside. We then moved on to entrees as we were excited to get to the main event. One of our friends is also vegetarian but that is not a problem for this place as they have many options for vegetarian/vegan. He got a black bean enchilada with rice. My girlfriend got a chicken quesadilla and the chicken was very flavorful. I got a combo brochette of steak, jalapeno peppers with three bacon-wrapped shrimp which were scrumptious! Our other friend got tacos al carbon. We then ended the night with the dessert menu which had a few great options to choose from. One person got the flan as well as tres leches. My girlfriend and I shared her tres leches and my cheesecake chimichanga with ice cream which was very good as well. Our server Brandon was prompt on service and our dishes arrived quicker than expected! This team was really efficient and I always love to hear the sizzle of my food arriving hot and fresh! This is my first time here but certainly won't be my last. I give this a 5 out of 5 experience as there were no issues and everyone really enjoyed themselves. We will definitely consider this place for future outings. They even had people walking around ready to clear the tables as they saw plates building up without you having to ask as they know tablespace is limited when getting many dishes at once. The atmosphere is chill and both great for adults and kids alike. There were many families there. The parking is also plentiful as they have street parking but there is also a free parking lot across the street that had many spaces available.

Great dinner at Villa Maya! When we first arrived the restaurant was packed. No tables available as the private room was even booked with a party. They have a long bar area that has bar-seating and high top tables to drink and eat. The seating for the main restaurant is pretty large, plenty of room and tables to enjoy your meal. In the warmer weather, dining outside is available but not tonight on this cold and wet evening. Regardless we were seated a short time later, and quickly greeted with complimentary chips and salsa. You can tell by the decor that they have gone out of their way to brighten the place up and really make it festive. The pictures below show the small and medium margarita. Personally, I have never seen the large margarita, but it must be enormous given the size of the medium. Selection is quite extensive for all types of appetites. The picture below is just one side of the menu, but there are lots of items crammed in there. For dinner tonight we had fresh guacomole to start. Very tasty, but I should have made it spicier. Main courses were my favorite of steak fajitas and a enchilada combo platter. We had cheese and onion enchiladas and beef enchiladas, with ground beef. The beef fajitas are one of my favorites. Something about the spices they use just really delicious to me. Personally, I like their fajitas the best of all the restaurants in the area. They are cooked on vegetables, which adds a lot of flavor to the fajitas. Main courses come with a side of rice and beans. Service was pretty good given just how busy they were. Overall, I highly recommend this place if you are looking for a good mexican meal. Enjoy!

Why did I go? - 1) A friend last weekend suggested trying this new place out ( I am sure they got a good deal on a margarita pitcher during happy hour). 2) one of the prior reviews talked about saving the drive to a mexican joint in neighbouring town ( one of my favorites) & 3) I like good mexican food. The entry foyer has been done well - liked the art work. On a weekday evening at 8, it had patrons but I didn't have to wait for a table ( liked that also!). Such restaurant chains should have some signature crowd pullers. On this first visit, I did not find any. Disclaimer - I did not try a main course or any authentic spirits in the bar (which by the way looked good with the colorful lamp shades). Neither the salsa ( which came along w the complimentary chips) nor the freshly made guacomolee or the margarita I ordered - impressed. Will wait for the place to bake in and more reviews to come hopefully citing favorite dishes, then I might consider a return. Wish them all the best!. Till then, the slightly longer drive to my favorite mexican joint is worth all the effort.

Breakfast/Brunch Say WHAT?!!!! Yes, Clarksburg and surrounding areas, Villa Maya has a wonderful Sat./Sun Brunch Menu and breakfast drink specials too! Yayyy!!!! You will not be disappointed!

What's more is... I don't think they advertise this very much so I'm hoping the word gets spread so they can continue serving brunch! I would hate to see this wonderful eating luxury go away because they don't have enough business for it. The omelets are amazing and blow anything you'll get at Ihop away. The omelets are amazing. Each breakfast comes with the most delicious breakfast potatoes as well as generous portions of fresh fruit!! If you like to traditional breakfasts such as Waffles, Pancakes, Eggs Benedict or Spinach Florentine, they have that as well, but consider their wonderful ethnic Mexican breakfast options too. Quite honestly, it was hard to The pricing is very reasonable Which will keep me able to come often rather than considering this a once in a while treat.

The breakfast drink specials are delicious too! They make their own Bloody Mary mix on the spot. Everything is fresh!!!

You can also do a beer version of a Bloody Mary ( I forget what they call it) where they omit the vodka and use beer with the Bloody Mary mix instead. Delicious!! ( and larger too than traditional Bloody Mary, if that matters to you!

If Mimosas are you are thing come a they have that too along with several Brunch drink options!!🥂

It's great having a neighborhood place to go for breakfast, but I would travel a bit for their brunch or dinner menu either way!!!

Thank you Villa Maya for moving into the neighborhood!!! I hope people come from from.all areas to enjoy...
