This isn't where the locals eat. Fix it or your will be closing in less than 2 years.
The bad: Slow service for what we ordered. $1.85 + tax for a can coke and the same for a refill Tea was ordered and came out half filled and was informed that there would be a refill charge. Ingredients of dishes served did not match prices charged or taste quality. I have had better quality at fast food restaurants in the same town. Food was bland and was not well represented by menu. Nobody in my party enjoyed anything that was brought out. Meals were brought out at separate times with large gaps in between so when one person was finishing the other was starting. More drink options than food options (giving the impression that this isn't really a family oriented restaurant)
The good: Waitress was extremely nice and professional. Nice atmosphere and beautiful interior (minus the cheesy stereo playing the music) Clean environment
Advice to owner: Your restaraunt has an identity issue. What is it? Pick something special that no one else has in town and show case it. Delta recipes did not seem well represented instead there were non-authentic pasta choices. Consider things like fried green tomatoes, fried catfish, quail, crawfish dips. Menus seemed cheap and flimsy and food options at an upscale establishment should not be represented by a stand alone piece of computer paper. Fix flimsy tables and arrange better sitting arrangements than tables and chairs. Your food seemed cheap to be priced at what it was. It's ok to charge more when the food is better but you don't have a world renown chef working out the of the back of your restaurant. Most locals I have talked to don't eat here and won't mainly because they can't relate to your recipes. The table in front of me was complaining about this issue as well. Fix your food options and capture the attention of locals or your will be out of a business. $30.00 for salmon?? Come on... I bet it's even frozen.
I want you to succeed because I would like to see the city of Clarksdale grow but your going to have a hard time unless you get a tight control of your restaurant. You can't come in what was once know as one of the poorest cities inside of the poorest state of the United States and sell low quality food at top quality prices. You and your chef and staff need to sit down and seriously re-arange the menu, add different options and lower your prices otherwise you will be closing your doors for...
Read moreIf youâre a foodie, finding yourself in the Mississippi Delta, check out Levonâs. My first time here, I decided to try the Blackened Catfish with grits. I had never had grits before, and I became an instant fan. Since then, Iâve liked other grits (and find that not all grits are worthy of your liking of course, but nothing compared to this meal. I also had the Buffalo shrimp. So good!
I just visited this place for the second time, and I had to go back to the Blackened Catfish with grits, again, and it was so rich and flavorful. This time, we had the fried green tomato appetizer, topped with shrimp, and it was SO GOOD! Again!
The owners take such great care and consideration here. Itâs obvious that they pour their hearts and souls into this place. The service was also superb.
If youâre coming here during an event or festival, keep in mind that the wait anywhere will likely be long, but I can guarantee you that itâs...
Read moreI was slightly disappointed. The dessert I ordered was horrible that came with the Vday special. I fault myself for order potatoe soup. Customer service was the worse âŚI asked for accommodations to change my dessert to whatever else they had and was denied. They said it didnât come with VDay package. Customers satisfaction wasnât a thing. I wouldâve took them saying, âIâll change it but $3-5 more.â They couldâve also just offered a salad or something in the place of it. My man and I shared his salad (sooo good with pecans). A place of that type of price in Clarksdale shouldnât be so comfortable saying, âNo.â How you allow a customer to leave like that over a few bucks? We traveled to get there and desserts is the main token after a meal. I didnât take a picture of đ§ dessert âŚ
I went there one time before for dinner with my business partner. I didnât have dessert so I didnât know. đ¤ Shrimp dish...
