This place is a treasure! I came in early, just the owner and the elderly waitress greeted me - I more than hesitated to dine in an empty restaurant - I chatted and walked out. After a few minutes exploring the neighborhood I came back - and am I glad did! A dozen tourists had come in and were ordering breakfast, the musician Watermelon Slim was setting up, and began to play and tell stories. The tiny kitchen was overwhelmed and I knew it would take a while. Struck up conversation with folks at the next table - heard their stories and told some of mine.
Slim's fine voice and guitar kept everyone engaged - we learned about his journey and greatly enhanced our own!
Worth the wait! The Spanish omelette was wonderful - great fresh ingredients cooked to perfection! Grits, dusted with parsley, sausage patty and fresh biscuit included. All in all - a perfect travel...
Read moreHas such potential. Great live music, decor and presence. To be successful, they have to work on running a business. Ordering food took around 30 mins. We never got the food having waited 1 hour after putting in the order. When settling up to leave (having not eaten), there was an additional $8 charge for the music per person. This didnt appear to be signposted and none of our party were made aware of this additional cost per person. We were spread across multiple tables. The service never mentioned this during ordering. We refused to pay more than $25 as the total was coming in at $46 for 2 IPA's and a Corona! Asides from leaving without tasting their delicious looking meatballs and spaghetti, the experience was good. Really hope they can learn from feedback and make this a great place it seemed to be from other reviews (which is what we went on). Good luck...

For food, I had the ham and cheese omelette – it was incredibly cheesy and packed with these amazing, large chunks of ham. My wife got the French toast, and it was huge! It looked like big slices of baguette, and it was wonderfully soft and dense with a ton of flavor, topped with fresh fruit. Definitely a great brunch spot for the food, the price per value, and especially to hear some live music if they have...
