Very poor experience. I really hate to write a bad review about a small business, especially during the times we are in. But last Saturday (5/9), we decided that we would order pick up from the Italian Bistro. They had posted their hours online and on Facebook, that day, that they were open until 8:30. So, 7:40 I called, and it rang for several minutes with no answer. I tried back several times and still no answer...then the phone was busy. By now it was 8:00 so we drove up there to order in person. When I walked in, there were no customers there, and I asked if they were open. The hostess said yes, but they were closing soon and she asked what I wanted. When I told her. she went to ask (I guess the cook) if they had time to make 3 large pizzas. They didn't want to, but they did. I told her that I had been trying to call for 30 mins and no one ever answered. She didn't have a response really, even though while I was standing there, the phone was ringing non-stop. As I sat outside waiting for my order, I watched her turn away 2 families, all before 8:30. It is just really sad...If you don't want to serve people, don't post that you are open. And if you close, or don't want to serve anyone, you need to make that public. The pizza was good but the customer service...
Read moreThe waitstaff is exceptional, attentive, & informative. Dad & I started w/garlic knot rolls & a savory dipping oil mixture. We ordered the “Special Pizza w/the Works” - sausage, pepperoni, Canadian bacon, hamburger, mushroom, green peppers & black olives. OMG - every bite a delight! Quite affordable ($17.³ᵒ + Tip) & we took home ½ the pizza. Dining area & restrooms are clean & comfy & they have good wifi (you have to ask for password}. Italian Bistro’s in an antiquated building on the town square, but it works. The inherited dark wood (old building facades) decor is alien to Italian cuisine, but don’t be deceived, cause the service & food - both taste & portion - more than make up for any lack of atmosphere. ❶ Their online menu’s unreliable, but the menu photos posted on their Facebook page are right on. ❷ Service was a bit slow, but observation revealed they’re spread too thinly. ❸ The lunch specials are a bargain and provide some delicious choices. All kinds of lunch specials for only $7.⁹⁹. ❹ Sometimes have live music - watch their Facebook page. ❺ Clarksville’s a dry town, but you can BYOB. ❻ Worth the drive to...
Read moreSimple Italian eatery. The food is actually decent lots of dishes found in traditional italian cooking as well as some that are their own take on it for a unique local flair.
Really I do think this could be slightly remodeled into a unique dining experience in Texas the facades on the inside are from an old west theme. This could be a dining experience where the Spaghetti Western comes to life. we just have to get past all the Covid stuff. I do like certaining dining options especially if the atmosphere can take me some place else for a little while and yes for the moment I thought I was in like a Clint Eastwood Western instead of just modern...
