I really wanted to love this place. They do great things for the community. And honestly the food was very good. Had a very good pizza and excellent cheese curds. The experience however was 1 star. Walk in to a seat yourself sign. Did that and waited about 10 minutes or so to be acknowledged. That was only after the cook/ owner yelled at the waitstaff to get table 7. Finally do and we get drinks and menus. On the wall is a giant sign 4' square maybe with chalk written today's special: buy 1 16" pizza get 1 half off. We decide to order 2 16" specialty pizzas as a special. Minute or so later the waitress informs us that's not the special it's 2 12" for$20 would we like to switch? We said yes and asked if we wanted the same pizzas and we said sure that's fine. Ok no problem. Finished the pitcher of beer and set the empty pitcher and my empty glass at the edge of the table. THREE times she checked on the table right next to ours (connected booths) and never once so much as glanced at us. Cheese curds took forever but they have a huge group in the next room so understandable. Finally get another beer too. So we finish our meal and get the bill. Instead of 2 for $20 our 12" pizzas were $18 a piece. My wife went to discuss the bill and was given a half hearted apology. No attempt to honor the special. Waitress' mistake which we paid for. Would not have ordered those at price for sure. So to summarize very good pizza, great cheese curds, very unreasonably long waits and did not honor the special written on giant letters on the wall nor the one quoted by the waitress. This would be 1 star but the food was good and I truly appreciate what they've done for the community. I was ready to write this off as an off night but failing to honor either special was the last straw. Definitely can't recommend nor...
Read moreBeyond expectations! I would go for the bread sticks and cheese curds alone ... then our meals came ... I had the Buffalo chicken sandwich yum ... my husband had the cheese steak sandwich yummier and the kids had pizza. Now say that doesn't sound that special ... what made this special was the attention to ingredients. The cheese curds where fresh and lightly battered and served with a delicious sauce ... the bread sticks where made by hand and deep fried covered in parm so crispy in the outside and soft and chewy in the inside ... the tomatoes on my sandwich were ripened to perfection perfect buffalo sauce ... the cheese steak was real slow roasted beef awesomely tender and juicy. Best pizza in Barron, Polk, and Dunn counties hands down. If you haven't been you truly are missing out....
Read moreI stopped at Brickfire randomly on my way from Clayton to New Richmond, and I'm absolutely delighted! The person who took my phone order was friendly and efficient, and the order was ready right on time. The dining room was clean and cozy, and lady who helped me was super friendly. I felt very welcome.
And then the food was awesome! I got a 3 topping pie & garlic fries. All the flavors are on point & delicious. The pizza crust is crunchy & chewy, and I really love their sauce. My family and I travel frequently between Clayton & New Richmond, and we'll be adding Brickfire as a...
