Read moreYou ever drive by a place multiple times and tell yourself, I need to stop and try that place. We did this past Friday night. You need to try it. They have a variety of Filipino-flavored dishes. When you walk in you're greeted by the hostess who happens to be one of the owners (Husband/wife). She took her time with us and explained each dish. That kindness is unique and unexpected for us. The glass case counter has a display of prepared meals for you to choose from. We selected combo # 2 which gives you rice with two proteins. See photos of our meal. The flavors, textures, and sauces made it a wonderful dining experience. Our hostess (sorry I cannot recall her name) shared with us that her husband is the chef and makes the meals in-house every morning. I had the pork belly adobo and some Jack fruit mash. Delicious! My husband selected some beef stew and pork with eggplant. He loved it as well. For dessert, we selected some milk flan which was smooth, not bitter or too sweet. A perfect custard. We also selected a pudding of sorts with sweet potato and coconut milk. Phenomenal. We plan on going back and trying some...
Read moreWhat a find! The food was delicious! The atmosphere was like visiting with friends and family. One couple exchanged contact info with another patron all while sharing stories of adventures and what they ate on their trips in the Philippines. What a great vibe!!! The restaurant is in a plaza in Clearwater, but once inside it’s decorated with a little hint of islandy fun. Plenty of tables, and local drinks + homemade dessert!! The food reminded us of family and was made with secret family recipes handed down thru the generations! The owners are the nicest part of the place. I cannot wait to go back! The Pancit and the pork adobe were so good. My Pinoy husband is still talking about how much he enjoyed the food! He was a kid in a candy store today for sure as he had all his favorites on the same plate! You can order plate/1 side + rice or Pancit or the same but with 2 mains. So of course we did the 2 and got 4 different things. Lots of of meat dishes. And Fish. That’s for next time. The lumpia was yum! There was a stew that was magnificent!! The meat was so tender. Go. You will not be...
