Review of Claremont National: A Scenic and Relaxing Experience
Yesterday, I had the pleasure of visiting The View at Clermont National, and I must say, the views are absolutely stunning. It’s clear why it’s called "The View." Even in Florida, outside of Tallahassee, where hills are common, The View at Clermont National offers breathtaking scenery that’s both unexpected and beautiful.
Driving Range Experience: The pricing for the driving range is fantastic. You simply pay for your balls and pick a bay, making it an affordable and accessible activity. If you don’t have golf clubs, you can rent them for just $10, which is a great deal. The driving range also features the same games available at Topgolf, making it a fun and engaging experience for both seasoned golfers and newcomers. Comparatively, it’s a win-win situation.
Food and Drink Options: The food choices at The View at Clermont National are quite good, with various food trucks offering a range of options. However, one downside is the selection of non-alcoholic beers. Currently, they offer beers with 0.05% alcohol content, which, in my opinion, doesn’t qualify as truly non-alcoholic. I hope they consider adding true 0.00% non-alcoholic beers to their menu in the future.
Service: The service was okay, but there’s room for improvement. It seems that many local patrons are familiar with the setup and don’t require much assistance. However, as a first-time visitor, I found it a bit challenging to navigate without help. No one approached us to offer assistance until we asked for it. While the environment is mostly self-sufficient and self-explanatory, a bit more proactive customer service would enhance the experience for newcomers.
Overall Atmosphere: Despite the service hiccup, I would definitely return to The View at Clermont National. The weather was amazing, and even on hot days, the bays are comfortable and breezy. The combination of the stunning views, the enjoyable driving range, and the pleasant weather made for a great outing.
Final Rating: I would give The View at Clermont National an 8 out of 10. With the addition of true non-alcoholic beers, it could easily become a 10 out of 10.
In summary, The View at Clermont National is a fantastic spot for a day out, whether you’re a golf enthusiast or just looking to enjoy some beautiful scenery and good food. I highly recommend...
Read moreToday was the first time my family and I stopped in to eat at the restaurant. We wanted a nice place to eat lunch on Sunday and we were looking forward to the view. But there were several key parts of our experience that made it disappointing.
The view that we came to see was completely blocked by plastic curtains. There was a private party in the sun room area and instead of just roping it off, plastic drapes were hung and blocked the ENTIRE view from inside the restaurant. There is an outdoor area you can eat at, however it was quite hot so we wanted to sit indoors.
There is no waitstaff. We had to order at the counter, pick up our own food, and it was all served in to go boxes. The price of food items weren’t cheap and the food quality was only ok. I personally ordered a $14 turkey club sandwich, and it was made with 2 slices of bread… so it wasn’t technically a club. My son ordered a calzone which was pretty large in size and he wasn’t even given cutlery. We told the person taking our order that we were dining in so it was just surprising to pick up our food in paper boxes. We were told it’s easier for the staff to give out disposable boxes because of easy cleanup and they were less likely to break dishes. He said that brunch items were the only items served on plates. For our family of 6 we spent over $100 for lunch.
Valet service was odd too. The valet stand was not at the entrance, it was in the middle of the road. We had to pull around the circle to the valet stand and my kids had to go through the street to get to the entrance. It wasn’t right at the entrance.
Overall the place is in a beautiful location with a great view, but so many things just don’t make sense. It was a fast food type experience but 2x more expensive. It has a lot of potential, but don’t think we would dine there again...
Read moreA Hole in One Experience at The View!
If you haven’t been to The View, you’re missing out on the most exhilarating experience of your life! Imagine hitting balls while overlooking breathtaking vistas that make you feel like a pro on a tropical island. Every swing is accompanied by the gentle whisper of the wind and the distant sound of “oohs” and “aahs” from fellow golfers.

With a smile that could launch a thousand ships and biceps that seem to defy the laws of physics, Tyler is a true distraction. You might come for the driving range, but you’ll stay for the chance to witness his masterful cocktail crafting while he effortlessly flirts with every guest.
