Angie's Soulfood Cafe' — Restaurant in Cleveland

Wonderful soulfood, I personally wish that they would use better cheese for the macaroni. Update: 6/2022 On Father's Day, I purchased a smothered chicken white meat dinner, w/cabbage and black-eyed peas, and a smothered pork chop dinner w/ greens and Mac n cheese. The cashier handed my food to me, and stated that she gave me dark meat. Because they were out of white meat. I explained, that I do not eat dark meat, so therefore changed out the meat for pork chops. Thin side was done, but unfortunately the thick side was extremely half done, and to top it all off. ALL THE SIDES DISHES WAS SO HEAVILY SALTED, THAT WE COULD NOT EAT ANY OF OUR TO GO ORDER. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. LISTEN, I have stomach issues and I can't just put anything in it. HONEY, when you go to Angie's Soul Food (AND I DO MEAN EVERY SITE THEY HAVE!!!!!) it's literally LIKE STOPPING AT GRANDMOM'S HOUSE FOR A PLATE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have been going to Angie's for years but after my experience today I will NOT be going back. I ordered the smothered chicken dinner with 2 sides, $12.95. On the sign it read 'dressing add a dollar to entree.' I ordered the dressing thinking that it will take my price to 13.95. When I paid with my credit card I looked at the receipt and saw that I was charged $4.95 for the dressing. Whan I questioned it, I was told that the additional $1 was if you substituted the dressing for one of the sides. That is not what the sign said. So since I received the 2 sides with the dinner I was charged an additional 4.95 for the dressing. There is no dressing in the world in my opinion that is worth $4.95. Angie's is getting ridiculous with their prices. What I thought was going to be a $13.95 meal turned out to be a $20 meal. There are other soul food restaurants in Cleveland. Angie's will no longer be getting...
