Calypso's Cafe — Restaurant in Cleveland

For the most part they are good. When they lack is in there staff. They open at 11, but most of the time the cook is not even there at 11. They are not a friendly staff and you are always going to be waiting. Always having to have cash is a downside, but i understand.It is better to order after 11:30. You will receive a text once your food is ready, but once you go in your food stull is not ready. Most of the time there Philly cheese steak are amazing. I have had one experience were all the meat was burnt in the philly. There wing dings and fries are seasoned just right. There perch dinners are good for the most part. Calypso's used to be the go to spot for wings, chicken/steak phillies & fish sandwiches, but over the past 10 years they have declined tremendously in taste, customer service and reliability. I am very disappointed in the service, or lack there of, I received today. As several other reviews have stated, the wait time is horrendous & the piss poor attitude of the cashier when I asked for my money back; only after watching my order walk out the door with another customer and having waited 20 minutes after I called in. I was in Virginia Beach for an entire week. We eat out every night we were here. This was the worst restaurant of the trip. Food looked and tasted like it came out of the freezer 5 mins before it was on my plate. Service was horrendous. Food heavily over priced for its at best Applebees quality. Expect a 3 hour evening. I have never written a good or bad review about a restaurant but if I can prevent at least one person from spending money at this restaurant then it’ll be worth it. I just wish I could...
