We have seen this place online and thought it would be nice to go and try it out. When we arrived we were greeted by four very young and cute girls behind the counter. That was probably the only good thing we can say about this place. When we were looking at the pizzas that are layer out on the counter for God knows how long we noticed a few fruit flies. As we were sitting down i saw many more on the walls and around where the pizzas were sitting. We had to keep waving them away. The girls were just in the back laughing and talking to each other. To me it seemed like they thought this was normal. I am food safety certified and have taken classes for this type of infestation. This place could easily fail a food and safety inspection also because of the girls cooking and serving had no gloves or hairnets. The pizza we had was fine but what made me even more angry is the fact that the garlic knots we ordered were very raw inside. We got another freshly made ones and they too were raw. They were so raw you can smell the dough and see the color still being dark and moist. It was not a good experience but this place seriously needs to care for their customers and train their...
Read moreI’m a New Yorker born and bred and I know my pizza. City slice is good, I wouldn’t say great yet very close to New York style. Mega slices are huge but regular slices are good size as well. There are flies buzzing around the pizza on the counter that sits there. Service tho, sorry have to be honest, not good at all. Been there 3 times. First time waited over an hour after ordering. Second time about 40 minutes. The young ladies they have attending the customers don’t seem to have much experience and good luck getting someone to attend you if you want ice cream. Never anyone there. I also have found capri pizza in middle burg on bagley rd. New York style pizza. I think it tastes better and service is on point but to be fair they been in business longer than City Slice. Still go to City Slice cause want to support them and give them some more time. They may still be learning the business but pizza is good and hope they can take constructive criticism as a learning tool to be better. God bless them with...
Read moreI don't feel like giving one star would be fair, seeing as I didn't even eat the pizza. Sent my husband to pick up a pizza for dinner. He waited for an extra 15 minutes when he got there (an hour after order was placed), which is not a big deal. Somehow, they accidentally gave our pizza to someone else, again, not a big deal. But then, they offered him two pizzas that were sitting there that no one came to get?? Only charged him for one but I called to see how long those pizzas were sitting out and apparently they were sitting out for more than two hours.... I'm sure it could've been mostly safe to eat but I'm not risking food poisoning and I'm genuinely surprised that an establishment would actually charge money for food that's been sitting cold (no warmers) for over two hours. Maybe I'm ignorant to how the food industry actually works but yikes. I would expect an offer to make a fresh pizza ASAP before being offered old, cold pizza. Definitely will not...
