Used to come here for years, but as another recent review said, things have changed somewhat. They appear to be under new management and it is showing in some spots. Notably, if you enjoy this place solely for the Orange Peel Chicken - sit down, because I have some bad news for you...it's pretty much gone. I saw the listing changed to just 'Orange Chicken' but didn't give it much thought. It is absolutely NOTHING like the original. No orange peel or chunks in the dish, no water chestnuts, no delicious sauce, and certainly no fresh chunks of chicken. This was your typical run of the mill 'copy and paste' Orange Chicken that you can get from pretty much any Chinese takeout. Might as well have been made directly from a frozen meal you buy at the supermarket, it was so bad. Lousy chunks of soggy breaded chicken sitting in a high-fructose corn syrup sauce that has 0% orange and 100% sadness. Why in the WORLD would you get rid of such an amazing recipe and replace it with this abomination is beyond me.
In addition, they no longer understand the concept of 'spicy'. I specifically noted for them to make my Orange Chicken extra spicy, but that does not appear to exist in their arsenal of spices anymore. The dish had zero spice. None. It might as well have been sweet and sour chicken, sans the sour.
Aside from that rant, to be completely fair, everything else was still pretty good. Their fried potstickers are still on point after all these years (although they have shrank in size), and their soups and fried rice are absolutely top notch. We also ordered the 'Pan Fried Noodle' which was probably the best version of it we've ever had.
But this place absolutely needs to bring back the original Orange Peel Chicken. It's a travesty that this even happened. I'm not sure if it was a cost cutting measure or what - I'd happily pay more to have it on the menu again. Please reconsider!!
