First they should 5 stars and not 4.9. The two reviews that make them 4.9 are not even real reviews and irrelevant complaints.

First of all, I’m not much of a sweets or cupcake kind of person. Their cupcakes are pretty good, and also the right amount of moist in the inside. Can’t even tell that it’s a gluten free and vegan cupcake, all you can tell is that’s it’s a delicious cupcake.

The cookies are all pretty good. Again, it is very hard to tell that they are vegan and gluten free as someone who isn’t vegan or has a gluten sensitivity.

Everyone there is very welcoming, and they are so helpful everytime I go there. They make you feel like family, and make you want to come again just for how friendly and inviting they are.

Only downside, and I think everyone can probably agree is that they need to be open more days...

I have been a long time fan of Philomena bake shop after discovering their products in some of the smaller local coffee shops in Cleveland. I am gluten and dairy free and finding something sweet that meets these two and still tastes good is a really hard order to fill. I am a cleveland native but now live in Boston and still order a cake and scones, muffins, bagels etc for the times when I come home. We even did a few of the vanilla celebration cakes as our wedding cake last year and people were raving at the wedding and there wasn't a crumb leftover!

Found out about this place when an amazing friend surprised us with a cake from philomena for our anniversary. It was so good - no one could believe it was vegan/gf. Fast forward more than a YEAR of procrastinating. . . . Mainly due to the fact that I had in my head they were so far away. In reality it’s an 8 minute drive from my near west side neighborhood. That’s nothing for delicious bakery that fits my dietary needs. We tried multiple things. We pre-ordered bagels. All were excellent. To add to it - they were friendly and welcoming. We will definitely be back. Only wish I hadn’t...
