I loved Bellacino's when I lived in Florida. Then they got rid of my favorite grinder (seafood). I tried several others but nothing ignited a fire in me so, I stopped going. That location closed a year or two later and, unable to find any others, I thought they had gone out of business. C'est la vie. Fast forward fifteen years or so. I saw the sign on Garfield headed home one night. Immediately wondering "do they have it?", I checked the menu when I got home. Hot damn, Sam, they do! And that's why I'm here. The sandwich is as good as I remember. Crispy crust on the bread with a nice chewy section underneath, melty cheese helping - barely - to hold all the seafood & veggies together. Yummilicious. While waiting for my sandwich, I was watching staff make the bread and dough for the pizzas. I forgot they had pizza, now I have another place to try. 😊 Service was great. The environment is loud, mostly due to fans evacuating the excess heat. There are 4 stools and a counter you can use to eat in, as I did, but to-go is the way to go. Don't try to eat this while driving, it'll end up in your lap & on the floor. What a waste...
Read moreVisited for carry out for the first time tonight. I had a coupon for a free garlic bread from the local circular that inspired my order. Ordered the 16" pizza and the free garlic bread, extra pepperoni on the pizza and the lady asked if I wanted the Parmesan crust and I said sure. She said ok, $20.xx. I was thinking to myself that was a lot for a single pizza and free garlic bread but once I brought the coupon in for the bread it would be lower. When I read the total on the screen, the pizza was $13.xx, extra pepperoni was $4.xx (over 30% the cost of the pizza) and the crust was $2.xx. The lady on the phone didn't tell me the crust was extra, so my fault for not looking at the menu. Pizza was mediocre, bread wasn't bad. Topping it off, the flavored crust was not added, see pic. Dry and tasteless. Won't be...
Read moreMe and my mom ordered a meat lovers pizza and a chicken grinder. I loved the grinder it was one of the best things from a pizza place I’ve ever had. My son who is 2 loved the pizza so much he had 3 slices before my dad even got one. In all he ended up having 8 slices throughout that day, even passing up his favorite dinner so he could have more pizza which is a big deal because usually he only takes two bites of pizza and refuses more. Definitely will be ordering more. This just became my new favorite...
