Ginza Ramen — Restaurant in Clinton Township

We were looking forward to a nurturing bowl of ramen as our household fights off a cold. We only ordered the chicken ramen in a carry-out. Separately, the components of the ramen were okay, the marinaded chicken, the ramen noodle, the marinaded egg, all good, on their own, WITHOUT the broth. A great ramen has a depth of flavor, umami. And maybe this broth was simmered for hours and does have umami? But because of the amount of salt added to it, we don’t know. The sodium levels in this ramen are on par with the 40 cent packs at the grocery store. So for us, this bowl of ramen is inedible. I refuse to pay $30 for noodles and saltwater so we will see how Ginza responds to a return of 97% of the order. Umami in the front, salt last and little. If it needs more let your customer add it. 0 on the broth, 2.5 on the individual ramen components. 4 on the piece of chicken katzu. 5 on their resolving an issue. Wanting a quick bite while out and about, I was very excited when this place came up on my search. It was close to where I was at the time so I rushed over. I ordered a ramen bowl and sushi. I hated the sushi. But not because they did anything wrong, I just didn't like the combination of what was in it. Totally my fault for ordering it. I wanted to try something new. When asked if I wanted a box for all of the sushi, minus one, I said no thank you, I didn't care for it at all. Nothing was said. I got my bill, with the sushi on it, which surprised me. I can't express how happy I am that Ginza Ramen opened near me! I used to make a 50-minute trip to their original location in Rochester Hills, MI just to get good ramen, but now, I have what might just be the best ramen in the area right around the corner.

The broth is rich and flavorful, the noodles have the perfect texture, and the toppings are always fresh and well-balanced. You can tell they put a lot of care into their ingredients and preparation. Whether you're a fan of tonkotsu, miso, or shoyu, you won’t be disappointed.
