My wife and I have been going to this restaurant for over ten years, and sadly, the service and quality have gone downhill for just as long. We stopped going for a while because of repeated bad experiences, but we decided to give it one more try since Marshall from Paw Patrol was going to be there — our kids are huge fans.
To be clear, Marshall (who seemed to be from a separate company) was fantastic. He sat with our kids, colored with them, played with toys, and really took the time to make them smile. That part of the visit was great, and we truly appreciate it.
Unfortunately, the rest of the experience was more of what we’ve come to expect — disappointing. And I say this not as someone trying to nitpick, but as a former server, bartender, and manager who understands what good service should look like.
From the start, we waited far too long just to be greeted. Our server seemed completely disengaged — not friendly, didn’t bring water (a basic service standard), and offered very little interaction. When our appetizer arrived, there were no plates. Even after asking, we still didn’t receive enough.
I was very clear when ordering my burger — no cheese. I repeated it multiple times, and the server even wrote it down. But it still came with cheese. That meant I had to wait for them to remake it while the rest of my family ate without me. Maybe that was a kitchen mistake, but the end result is still the same — my meal wasn’t right, and the experience suffered.
My wife and kids’ food was okay, but the fries were undercooked and lacked consistency. The steak bite appetizer, which used to be one of our go-to items, has really declined. The quality has dropped, the portion size has shrunk, the price has gone up, and it now comes with pita instead of the baguette it used to.
My wife’s drink came out missing the lime it was supposed to have, and no one ever came back to check on us after we got our food. When we were finally ready to cash out, the server was nowhere to be found, and it took longer than it should have just to get the bill.
The visit before this one wasn’t great either. We placed a large pickup order for a gathering at our house, and several items were missing or incorrect. I called and confirmed with the staff — they acknowledged the mistakes and apologized, saying we could come back to get the missing items and they’d remake what was wrong. But it was inconvenient for us to leave again, so I asked for a credit instead. They refused and insisted we come in. That was the last straw for us at the time, and we didn’t go back until now.
In this economy, people expect to get what they pay for. That means decent food, decent service, and a staff that cares about the customer experience. Sadly, this restaurant hasn’t delivered that in a long time. We’ve given it more chances than most probably would, but at this...
Read moreThe service I experienced here was absolutely terrible. It’s the kind we have all unfortunately come to expect now I guess.
From the jump, the host staff was negligent. Two girls standing at the podium, not one of them greeted us, in fact I greeted them. The menus they put down on the table were filthy, the drink menu had visible bbq sauce on it. You would think between two people that someone would have noticed. Nobody seemed to care if we were here or not, since it took several minutes to just be noticed.
I had to go get my own beverages from the bar, so now I’m serving my own table, negating the point of going out. The bartender was off putting, and the only reason I had to even see the bartender was because the server we had was on another planet. This person delivered my husband’s salad before bringing us the water we ordered, and didn’t seem to notice or care. It could have been because this server was sitting down at another table with some friends, having a chat while I watched with nothing in front of me. I inquired about my drink order at the bar and told them I was at a table. The bartender had not made the drink yet, even though the cup was set up and the ticket was there, after it had been ordered for at least 10 minutes- that is if the space cadet waiting us rang it in in a timely manner. Mind you, the bar is completely empty, not a single person to take attention away.
I can’t even talk about the food, which surprise, came out incorrect, because I had such a terrible experience here. This place needs a serious staff meeting, and probably some changes, maybe a few training days, because this crew is lost.
Terrible experience for dinner, and so frustrating to spend money and try to enjoy a night out only to be met with this kind of experience, and leave feeling irritated....
Read moreMother's Day parties beware! This was a pretty good place at one time. Lately all of their menu items have become subpar. Bone-in chicken wings have gone from 12 to 10 (industry-standard they say demeaningly), chicken tenders are now the size of the Gordon Food Services Frozen bag that anybody can buy. We've been here multiple times and I have to say the last two times have been pitiful! Today we went and ordered food. We've got a four piece Pizza, 10-piece chicken wings, and we placed an order to go which our waitress Hannah was told not to put in till we are ready to leave. Sometime about three-quarters of the way through our meal, Hannah approaches and said that the cooks had already made the other to-go meal and she would keep it warm for us till we were ready to go. My wife complained about the rushed order and Hannah said she would replace the fries. She said t by e tenders would be OK? I'm sorry.... fries that are reheated in an aluminum basket dipped in hot oil is not my idea of an ideal crispy fry! Hannah and The Cook took my cold order fries and put them in the basket, dumped them back in the hot oil to reheat them up again. I just want everybody to know that we thought this was a great place to go but now we are going to drive the extra mile to get ourselves a quality meal. A meal from people who really care about the quality of the product that they're serving. If you're just looking for a glass of beer or some wine do yourself a favor, don't order the jalapeno pretzels because you're only going to get 4 very small pretzels and a little dish of jalapeno cheese sauce and it's only $9! Maybe if you're lucky your waitress won't push you through the system because there Is a pizza party coming in 2.5 hours. SEE...
