This restaurant is amazing, it is family owned by wonderful hard working gracious people. We ALWAYS get cheerfully greeted by the owner, his wife, or sister in law. His mother in law and her husband work very hard too. They make sure you are getting everything you need before your orders are taken. If you want, they will put your main course order in later so you can eat your soups, or salads first without everything arriving all at once. On the other hand should you want it all at once, they will accommodate that too. Anton's wife makes so many of her own out of this world desserts. Although when she is so highly complimented on them, her sincere humbleness is what shows through. She always is bringing something deliciously special in that we've never tried before! Ralphie is one of the main cooks who seems to be there along with Anton or his son Rocky whenever we've gone to River Crest. Even in his busiest moments, he will greet you from the kitchen with a big hearty wave and a nod of his head. Anton's father in law, whom we call Papa is always in motion cleaning and also pops out to wave to everyone. Their prices are great ...service and the food is excellent ...and the place is clean. After a while, you notice the regular customers are more often treated as an extended family than patrons...something that is highly needed in these stressful times around us. A place to call your own! Please give them a try and see...
Read moreI’m being generous giving three stars because the first time I was there was decent. The second time was the total opposite though, and it’s going to have to be the last time for me. The service was OK, atmosphere was dreary and depressing, and the food was terrible. Besides the fact they totally destroyed the concept of beef stroganoff, the least they could’ve done was boil up some fresh noodles instead of serving it over soggy old ones. For what it cost to eat out now, and it’s only going to get more expensive in the future, you can’t be putting food like that on the table. Take some pride in what you do and show some respect for your customers. I can’t afford to gamble on another meal there. My 80 year old dad is far from a picky eater, and if he gives it a thumbs down, you better believe it deserves it. I don’t take any pleasure in giving negative reviews, but if you wanna stay in the game you better step...
Read moreFirst off I came in here for the first time with my husband and brother in-law the service sucked she was rude and not polite she ignored us anytime we wanted a refill. Look I know that waitressing can be hard I’m a waitress myself but that is not how you treat a customer. Also, my food was cold and not cooked right I don’t appreciate how this restaurant is it’s not right and let’s just say we won’t be coming back here all because the way this waitress was my family and I were trying to find a new home restaurant that we could go to and let’s just say this won’t be it if you want customers to stay then I suggest telling your servers and training them to smile and to be kind because with this girls attitude you ain’t going to get anyone to come back...
