I recently reached out to Dan over the phone to ask about a couple of symptoms I was noticing, as well as some preventative maintenance tips for my high-end Sansui AU-919 amplifier. From the very beginning, Dan was incredibly approachable and generous with his time. He patiently walked me through each of my concerns, explained the possible causes in plain, easy-to-understand terms, and also offered practical solutions I could try.
What impressed me the most was that Dan never rushed the conversation—he spent more than 15 minutes with me, carefully covering every detail, even though I was not yet a paying customer. His kindness, sincerity, and honesty really stood out. It is rare these days to find someone so willing to share their expertise without expecting anything in return.
Although I haven’t officially done business with him yet, the experience left me with complete trust in his professionalism and integrity. I truly appreciate the effort he put into helping me and the respect he showed throughout our conversation. If this is the level of care he provides even before working together, I can only imagine the quality of service he delivers to his actual clients. Dan is someone I would highly recommend to anyone who values both technical knowledge and genuine character. ...
Read moreI bought my stereo system in 1990, I took it in to the Panasonic service center on Van Dyke in 1997, they didn't fix nothing. First the digital screen quit working, then the left channel stopped altogether. I took it to Dan, he worked on it, and when I picked it up I dropped off two more pieces of equipment. He had this trustworthy presence about him. He has all the equipment, fluke, oscilloscope, and other things. It felt like I had just bought new equipment, I couldn't wait to hook it up. Finally! Finally! I got my old stereo back. It's going to my daughter when I check out. It works, and the best equipment out there is from the 60's, 70's, and 80's, now everything is engineered to die, so they keep...
Read moreFound Dan about 2 years ago. I only run high end JBL speakers from the 70's and 80's - sound quality is quite important to me. Have taken in vintage Nakamichi, Harman Kardon and Pioneer equipment from 60's -80's. Plus two CD players. He fixed them all for a reasonable price. Pioneer 8100 Amp failed after a few months of use. He went through it again charging me only for parts. Now it's great and so much better sounding than new equipment available. He's 'old school'. Does not rebuild entire unit as original components N/A and feels replacement parts inferior and should not be substituted unless fail. Once took in Crown power Amp. Determined beyond economical rebuild - no charge. Very fair....
