Camino Real — Restaurant in Clinton

When I worked at the Clinton Power Plant I would stop in El Camino every two weeks to have delicious Mexican food. Now 2 years later and now living 30mins away I still go to El Camino every two weeks. The service is wonderful and the servers are always very pleasant. The food is always delicious with a huge menu with a various selection that will please every taste bud. You get huge portions of food for a great reasonable prices. I have made it a point to try a new dish every time I come in and I have not been disappointed at all. It's all sooooo good. My favorites are the Carnitas Dinner and Tacos Al Pastor. On Wednesday I tried the El Camino Fajitas which are made with chicken, steak, chorizo and shrimp. The sizzling skillet was piled high with a mountain of food. I could only eat a third of it and I had enough leftovers for breakfast and lunch the following day. It was an amazing deal for a dinner that only costs $15.99! I have been her twice now and ordered 2 different dishes to help me with a review. New to this town as we just moved here last August. This would be my go-to for mexican restaurants in town. One of my favorite dishes to try when i eat at a new mexican restaurant is their carnitas. They are moist and flavorful. My father comes to visit in a couple of weeks and i want to take him here. Best mexican resturaunt in central Illinois, hands down. The food beats most mexican resturaunts that I have ever been to. But the margaritas make this place the best. This place does not skimp on the tequila, like most other places. Some other resturaunts leave you questioning whether or not your drink had any at all. Oh, and did I mention the salsa? Its good....
