First Visit
Stopped in for lunch yesterday around noon, luckily for us it was a gorgeous day so we elected to sit on the shaded patio. There was only a 2 top occupied inside, making us the 2nd table there. We walked ourselves to our table and waited about 5 mins before the server (who had greeted us upon arrival) brought out menus, chips & salsa. Offered us tequila to drink and seemed disappointed when we both ordered water. He returned with the drinks and the lunch order was placed: Steak Tostadas and Enchilada plate. 30 minutes passed before our food arrived. It was luke warm, my tostadas were chicken and did not have the grains as described on the menu. I asked for a water refill as my glass was near empty. We never saw that server again until he brought our change. I did not address the meat issue or the grains as I truthfully didn’t care to wait another 30 minutes for food or walk inside to find our server.
After about 25minutes another server comes out, we ask for a box and check. Shes quick to bring those. And take the money for the check. The first server brought out the change fairly quick.
As we were leaving, 4 of the employees were seen standing and sitting behind the building; which makes sense as to why the service was so poor. Wish I could leave a 0/5.
Chips & salsa were delicious. The tostadas, even though not made correctly, were good. My friend said the enchiladas were okay.
There was no music playing, so with the patio by the road, the sound of passing cars took away from the atmosphere and experience.
We won’t be returning customers, which is a shame due to the lack of attendance they have already been...
Read moreIf I could give this restaurant a 0 star rating, I definitely would! My 9 year old daughter ordered the chicken alfredo and ended up not liking how it tasted after only 2 bites. She ended up ordering pancakes to replace the chicken alfredo. When I received the check, the chicken alfredo and the pancakes were both on the check. I had explained to the boss what had happened and he refused to take the chicken alfredo off the bill because he stated, "Well the food was edible!" I have never been told this from a restaurant if food needed to be returned or wasn't liked. I know that my daughter isn't the first person to not like food from the restaurant and she won't be the last. Good luck if you don't like something that you ordered because it probably won't be taken off the check! * Replying back to the owners comment that he just published false information! This was only the 2nd time not the 3rd that we had went to the restaurant because we don't even live in Illinois. We are here visiting our family. My 7 year old son didn't like the strawberry crepes he had ordered the first time we had went with my father. That was the one and only time food was taken off the bill (strawberry crepes) NOT 3 times!! Everyone is not going to like how the food tastes and that is good enough reason. Again, I haven't had any issues at other restaurants if food wasn't liked...
Read moreHad an issue with the food and waitress apologized and advised she would speak with the manager. The waitress did advise that she doesn't like their burgers either.. she did offer to have something else made,, but at that point was questioning if anything else on the menu would taste just as bad. The manager came over and apologized as well. He then brought the bill over and didn't adjust the bill at all. Then when up to the counter and spoke with possibly the owner or another manager. Explained that the hamburger was not edible and wasn't going to pay for it since it was not consumed. This person was shocked and didn't believe me. He then proceeded to go to my table and inspected my plate. He then adjusted the bill. Then I went and put a tip on the table for the server and he then started to confront me and was upset that I was leaving a tip for the waitress. Explained it wasn't the service that was a problem it was the food. This person was being very argumentative and unprofessional. I will never go back to this restaurant or recommend to...
