Read moreFirst, the good part. Our waitress was terrific. The food was excellent. The interior surroundings are charming. We even enjoyed shopping upstairs in their gift rooms before we were seated. (Loved the caramels that they sell.)
However, we dropped by without a reservation. Apparently, if you read their website on your cell phone and if you can "interpret" the highly flourished capitalized font, they strongly "encourage" reservations. The girls felt special drinking from a china tea cup that the owner insisted on them having - they were the ones she didn't care if broken. She told us they need to drink their tea proper. We visited sometimes in June and so drank cold sweetened iced teas. The food was great and the overall experience was lovely! We loved the upstairs store full of girly items to bring home. I loved looking around and seeing mother daughter tables and old friends catching up, big round table with ladies having their book...
