T'Beaux's Crawfish and Catering - Clinton — Restaurant in Clinton

I just landed back in Mississippi and I was in the mood for seafood and options are slim to none in Clinton. My dad has ordered from here before for a few of his cop buddies and has never had any complaints, so I figured I would give it a try.

I arrived around 8:17 and they close at 9. I placed my ordered and waited inside my car since it was misty and foggy outside. I noticed the lady signaling to me that my order was ready. I eagerly hopped out the car to grab my order from the pickup window.

The guy handing out the orders was aggressively rude. He was yelling curse words and was upset that people placed orders and didn't get the right away. He mentioned more than once that he was ready to go home, they close at 9pm and at this time it was probably 8:27pm.

I'm giving two stars for the woman who took my order because she was pleasant, smiled, and was helpful. I ordered a pound of boiled shrimp with potatoes. The butter sauce is amazing. The shrimp and potatoes lacked seasoning, I was hoping for a bit of flavor and spice. The butter sauce definitely elevated the food.

The open sign was also turned off by 8:30, which I assume is to deter people from placing orders so that they can go home.

I think every working individual understands wanting to get off after a long day but being rude to paying customers and feeling comfortable slamming pickup windows in people's faces is just unacceptable. It makes me wonder if he treats all customers like this or just certain ones.

I will not return to this place and much rather just drive to Jackson for seafood.

One of the most unpleasant experiences, they are not hospitable. The menu is limited and does not provide any dine-in options. Some of the food items are not at the appropriate temperature. This is a takeout-only establishment. Do not go there if you are seeking a positive experience. Additionally, it is quite costly. I intended to have my meal on a bench that they had placed outside. I was already seated with my family and was informed that I was permitted to sit there. However, the lady at the front subsequently informed me that I was not allowed to eat there that was for employees only. We were in Jackson and looking all over for crawfish to satisfy my husbands native MS roots for it. Someone had a business card he happened to see and asked about it...well actually RAVED about how good it was. We gave it a shot and went there. We had a blast. The staff was incredibly kind, sat and ate with us, we laughed, and just had a good time. It was our last day there and we were hitting the road for a 14 hr drive back to Milwaukee and so glad this was our final stop. We are planning our next trip down south for next year and PURPOSELY making sure this place is along our road trip. The most amazing crawfish and crag legs we've ever had. Definitely worth...
