Waffle House — Restaurant in Clinton

We visited a last week around 1:30pm-2pm. When ordering, the waitress informed us they were fresh out of gravy and couldn't make anymore at that moment because they were about to be shutting down to clean the restaurant. How hard is it to run some hot water through the coffee machine and wisk some gravy mix into it? Anyway, after the waitress took our order, we were politely told by the manager that they could not serve us because they were shutting down for 20-30 minutes to clean up. Fortunately, the cook had already started preparing our food, so they let us stay. The food was great! There were about four more customers after us who got turned away because of the shutdown. If you're a 24-7 restaurant, you need to serve your customers 24-7. There are plenty of options to clean things without everyone stopping and cleaning together. Better management would help resolve this problem. I have spoken with a number of people who used to eat here who have said they won't return because they never know when they will be able to get service. Came with the wife @4am pulled in seen the woman wiping the doors, went in side sat down less than 30 secs the waitress alrene was taking our order she great made my wife freshhh coffee and we gave her our order she is waving her hand like someone was out side waited bout 5 mins before the cook actually came in mean while our waitress made my wife chocolate waffle when the cook came in she told him she messaged him and he said what text then laughed at her after he finished cooking the food walked back out side and got back in his car! When we left we noticed he was laying in his car like he was trying to sleep, the waitress was cleaning and the store look very nice and clean until I look over the where the grill is this is the cleanest I’ve seen this store in months im come in 3-6 times and month! The waitress is rude. I dont believe its intentional but her delivery when speaking is rude. 4 people walked out due to the way she said they would have to wait because she was the only one here and opening another table was too much. My bacon was hard and burned. The ham in my hashbrowns was as well. When asking for ketchup because the bottle we had was empty she acted like it was an imposition to get another. The next bottle she beought had 2 squirts and we had to ask again for another which earned us a heavy sigh. Anther waitress arrived right after our food was delivered but now that we are almost finished, our waitress finally asks if we need anything. When we ask for refill because we have been sitting here with empty cups, she says give me a minute I need to wipe off this other table. I mean really? Just horrible...
