Wendy's — Restaurant in Clinton

So Wendy's was my first job of several in the hospitality industry. My experience today, ranks near the bottomless pit of places of recent.

Fast food really wants us to order at their kiosks, but I was with my parents and they prefer the "old way" of ordering.

First, we wait 5 minutes to even be acknowledged. Then another 10 for the food, which was lukewarm at best. I personally watched the customer behind us, not be acknowledged for, well yes, 10 minutes. 7-8 people is what I counted and all I experienced was inefficiency at its finest.

Saw one person only wearing gloves. Not sure if that is a requirement in Anderson County, but why that one person and no one else?

What I do know, is that after having worked at Wendy's, 30 years ago, I could've ran that operation far better than what I and, the customers before and after me saw and dealt with.

Wendy's is far superior to McDonald's overall, but the competition across the street has this Wendy's blown...

Lies to whoever calls. Google states they close at 1am yet at 12:20 on April 16th, when picking up 2 DoorDash orders, only one person was in there cleaning (which I'm pretty sure is a safety violation) and no computers on. Customer called and the store stated they were open and preparing food. Down right lie to me and the customer. Manager or male person on the phone was obviously in a vehicle as I could hear the wind both times I called. Continued to lie after I told him I was there at 12:20 stating there were open and making food. On the restaurant window states closes at 12am. DoorDash orders still able to go through causing a lot of headache for myself and the customer. Absolutely atrocious lies...

They were good. Now they seem to careless when they make a mistake. Now I know why dude crumpled up my receipt and threw it away instead of giving it to me. They seem to always forget something or make the food the wrong way. At least it's edible. This time all they forgot was cheese on top of both chilli's, no big deal I thought I'd just go back in and ask for a little cup of cheese...when they saw me come in everyone scattered, the girl at the counter looked directly at me and walked to the back. I waited and waited, nothing. No one ever came, I finally left and won't be back! The sodas were all seltzer, no straws and no napkins. Looks like the manager needs gone and some better...
