Food too expensive!!!!!!!!
The horchata is 10/10 🔥 fire, what I’d call flamaaaaaa, straight flame. Amazing 🤩
I craved it every single day for a week straight after first tried it.
My second horchata experience in Iowa aside from Los Altos which also has fire horchata. My only complaint there is they only sell small. Not enough for someone who loves horchata!!!!
For a family of 7, got charged $104 plus tax here at Maria’s Mexican food. That is absolutely ridiculous!!! We didn’t even get tacos. 4 burritos, 1 carne asada fries, 2 horchatas, 12 taquitos!!!
Y’all say California is expensive yet they are only charging $10-12 per burritos 🌯 and asada fries are $10-14 at most. This place is a rip off. Ridiculous. Food is not that good to be charging that much. However, in my honest opinion it is way better taste and quality than Los Altos which is more of a Tex mex rather than authentic Mexican cuisine. I feel Los Altos caters to los gringos in their food quality, not authentic. My father is 100% Mexican born and raised, so I should know Mexican food. Thank you very much.
Got charged $12 just for queso on three burritos and it wasn’t even that much, the burritos were still very dry.
The carne asada had way too much gristle, a piece or two at most is understandable and has to be tiny, very minimal but chunks practically in every single bite is a no go. I’ve eaten way too much Mexican food to know way better.
Restaurant a bit dirty. Employee was kind and friendly. His service itself was 10/10 I...
Read moreWent through the drive through, and ended up having to wait for close to ten minutes at the window for the food to come out. Then once the food came out we started checking it, as we always do, and it took us a minute to do so as we had ordered a lot. But it's a good thing because they forgot our chips and queso. That took another couple of minutes and we were out of the drive through.
They apologized for the mix up and were very friendly overall. Based on the information I've told you thus far that doesn't sound like a positive review. However I have to say the food itself made up for a lot!
All the flavors were amazing. There wasn't a thing that we ordered that wasn't delicious and still piping hot when we got home 10 minutes later. Overall fantastic food, good service, I just think this time they missed the mark...
Read moreI’ve been a loyal customer at Maria’s for many years, even though the tacos are on the expensive side, because I’ve always enjoyed the food. Unfortunately, my last visit left me very disappointed.
While I was at the salsa bar, the lady at the front desk told me I was “taking too many” cups of salsa. There’s no sign saying there’s a limit, and when you’re purchasing tacos, it seems reasonable to expect being able to enjoy the salsa bar. I even offered to pay for the extra salsa, but the way she said it was rude and unnecessary.
I find it ridiculous that a loyal customer spending money on tacos can’t take at least two salsa options without being scolded. Very poor customer service. If this is how customers are treated, the owner may want to reconsider who is representing their restaurant at...
