Monkey Dog Coffee — Restaurant in Clovis

I posted this review on yelp first, but I am posting it here as well because the way the staff handled this situation this morning was unacceptable.

The coffee and food I ordered was fine, but the workers here clearly don't care about customer safety.

When I arrived, there was a homeless man sitting outside. He started harassing me, trying to ask me about my marital status and "proposing" to me, going on and on about how beautiful I am. I just tried to be nice (because you never know when someone can turn violent based off of a rejection) and went inside and ordered my coffee/food. As I'm waiting for my order the homeless man follows me inside and starts trying to continue a conversation with me. At this point I am very uncomfortable and a little scared, and I'm desperately looking to the employees for help and trying not to upset the man in case he does something crazy. None of the employees would make eye contact, and the ones who did look bored/unbothered. None made any attempt to ask this guy to leave or leave me alone.

Luckily I don't live far and my husband was able to get there quickly to come tell the guy to leave me alone and walk me to my car so we could go home safely.

This place is always phenomenal. I'm 110% a coffee b*tch and I love Monkey Dog Coffee ♡ Coffee is great. Food and pastries are awesome. Just tried a peanut butter cup cookie this morning (because I saw the tray get pulled fresh out of the oven)- literally the best peanut butter cookie of my life. 🥴You NEED one biblically. 😩🖤✨️

I tried the Anners today, and it's my favorite iced latte so far. I added whipped cream and cinnamon on top because I was feeling ✨️fancy✨️. Coffee here NEVER disappoints. Monkey Dog Coffee understood the assignment.

Oh! Customer service is always amazing, and the staff is super honest. A couple days ago, I was accidentally overcharged for extra espresso shots ((drink came with 3 shots, I wanted 5 total- instead of being charged for 2 extra shots, I was charged for 5 extra and didn't notice)). The owner noticed the mistake and brought it to my attention and said he'd like the refund the overcharge. He is seriously always the sweetest. We love an honest, hard-working man. 🙌🏻

Seriously- get your food/drinks here. Do NOT go to the greedy Starbucks across the parking lot. The lobby area is very comfortable and great for having coffee/sweet treats...

I really wanted to give this local business a try. There was no line when I ordered one sandwich (ghost pepper turkey panini) in person. I sat down on the futon to wait for my order. A group of about 5 people made orders after me, received their orders, and left. Another customer came to pick up their order, waited for a few minutes on the last item of their order, and left. I didn't want to come off as an impatient customer so I continued to wait. I saw the male and female employee chit chatting at the register (at one point the male was crouched down for some reason while talking to her). Approximately thirty minutes passed and I didn't have the capacity to wait any longer because my lunch was nearing its end. I walked up to the register and asked for an update on my order. The female employee was unaware but the male employee remembered my order (he took my order) and asked if I wanted a refund because they "forgot." I explained that my lunch was practically over and he processed my refund. Unfortunately, this was my first and only experience so I don't have any interest in...
