TLDR: I'd suggest going to MonkeyDog instead.
Don't go here. Their staff was biased towards me and extremely rude. I wasn't there but all of 10-15 minutes. I told them when I got there I was waiting on a friend to meet me to have coffee and chat.
I asked if they have any water tap or ice water I can give me dogs. Cause it's hot outside. They told me that they don't have ice water to purchase (which I know Starbucks is famous for their triple filtered water for one). But that I would need to buy a bottle of water. Which costs $2.50. I told them that's excessive, I only had change. My friend was buying the drinks, my debit card wasn't working at the time. I left my battery pack to charge inside at one of the booths. Then waited outside with my dogs on the patio. For my friend to arrive. I was only out there for 2-3 minutes and the same KID who tried to tell me they dont have water for sale, told me "sure I'm going to have to ask you to leave if you aren't buying anything". I told him, okay, well, I'm just waiting a few minutes on a friend and then we're planning to buy a cup of coffee for both of us. He walked away, muttering something inaudible. But I thought he said something about calling his manager or something. I went inside and took my battery pack out of the outlet. Grabbed my dogs and went over to the other side by the drive thru. Where I found a water spigget. I grabbed a cup from the top of the trash can and poured water in the cup and was giving my dogs water. Mind you I have no car, no transportation and it's 95 degrees outside...while I'm waiting for this friend. I wasn't there another 10-15 minutes and two Clovis PD officers show up and say they had a complaint that I was loitering and harassing people. I was shocked, you gotta be kidding me. I told them, if they only had a clue how much money I've spent at Starbucks buying coffees, teas, mugs, etc. Over the last 15+ years. and the one time I'm here waiting on a friend they want to harass me. Technically I'm homeless atm. But I made sure before I went there, I was showered, clean, wearing nice clothing, hair done, etc. They were just profiling and harassing me, and I find it appalling considering that Starbucks is one of those places that always prides themselves and tries to showcase their culture of inclusion and pet lovers, etc. that was clearly not my experience here. It could have been handled way more professionally and I will never set foot in that door to buy from that location again. I may not ever even buy at Starbucks again. This is what happens when a good business decides to franchise and doesn't pay attention to the stores that refuse to keep up the good image. I hope they go bankrupt, shoulda known since this location was 2 stars when all of the others are 4+. But it was closest to where I was needing to be to meet my friend and hot out, I don't feel like I was there to loiter or take advantage. They didn't even ask if I needed help with water for the dogs or anything. Very inhumane and I felt like I was being discriminated against cause of my race and the fact I had pets there. Not cool!! Well now you have a pissed off customer who happens to be in the top 10% of reviews in the country on Google Maps :-) wrong...
Read moreThe order staff at this location need definite retraining for order accuracy. On three separate occasions my orders have been wrong. Today was the fourth so I'm leaving a review. The first time I ordered a venti iced caramel macchiato via drive thru and was handed a shaken espresso. The 2nd time, I ordered a frap, and was given someone's custom order without whip. Third time was a macchiato again, I always say the full name- "Venti ICED caramel macchiato", and was handed one hot. I typically visit here on early mornings due to it being so close to my place of employment. This time I ordered a salted caramel strato frap and was handed a mocha frap with cinnamon. No caramel drizzle anywhere. I don't like cinnamon. It says everything on the tag, I'm not sure how they keep getting orders wrong. Skip this one and go to the one on Clovis and Santa Ana. I also had a lady yell at me one time that cream cheese isn't included with the bagel. I am not a Starbucks employee how would I know that, as a customer she was very standoffish and rude? Lady literally barked at me from...
Read moreTl;dr: Monkey Dog is a local coffee shop in the same shopping center that has better coffee, tea, atmosphere, prices, staff, and variety.
Pretty disappointing coffee and teas relative to the strong competition from Monkey Dog. Quite frankly, you're better off just walking a few feet down the same parking lot to Monkey Dog, which is a local coffee shop. I've been going to Monkey Dog for a few years and their quality and service is way better than any Starbucks I've been to, and since they're both in this same shopping center, the choice is pretty easy. It's disappointing Starbucks decided to build a location right next to a local established coffee shop to try and starve them out...
