Palmer's is my go to whether I go with my better half or my son when we get together to do some target practice. The staff are very prompt, friendly, and professional and will give you as much time as you need to decide what you want to eat. The only way I can think of to describe the portion size would be "home style". The bottom line is this; if you're hungry and don't want to go to BK or Micky D's, drive past both of them and stop in to Palmer's, you won't be disappointed at all.

It might be a basic American diner with a menu small enough to print on the paper placemat, but it was being run by all women last time and things move fast. One of the best bets for breakfast or lunch in that part of Northumberland county. Fun. Most notable for All Women, Every Day. Just posted new menu pics. Okay, so now they say the male business owner is in the back office. What a feminist roller coaster ride this is. Go eat here anyway. Very fast and it's fun.

Meh. We stopped at the diner on our way back from Knoebels. We had to leave and come back because it’s CASH ONLY and they do not have an ATM (why not is beyond me, they would make a killing). The place is hot, crowded and stuffy. Service was good but rushed. They are just recycling people over and over. The food was OK, typical diner food. I probably wouldn’t go out of my way to come back unless I was starving and this was the only place around.

Place was relatively clean, waitress was excellent, food was awful. Husband ordered creamed chipped beef and got a half a loaf of bread with gravy and a shred or two of meat. Fried potatoes were globs of soft chunks, no crispness or crunch. I got the fried fish fillet sandwich daily special that tasted way too fishy and part of the fillet that should be white was an odd brown color. Waitress saw I wasn't happy and offered another meal. I chose a cheeseburger, and that came overcooked and rubbery. I find it hard to believe that this place attracts such a crowd, but then again, there's nothing else in the area except a dingy Burger King. Maybe we were unlucky with our food choices, but it was a waste of...

Wanted to love Palmer's because it's such a popular local place. Dining area was clean and staff was friendly... that's where the good ends. Maybe the popularity is based on nostalgia because I can't imagine it's based on the food. I've had a better prepared and more flavorful breakfast on a hospital tray. Eggs and toast were fine, bacon was poor quality and merely heated... not cooked, home fries where just globs of overcooked, absolutely flavorless potatoes that appeared more boiled than fried... not at all browned and not at all helped by the flavorless onions I added which were also not browned... just white, mushy, and flavorless like the rest...

They do not have long hours I think they close at 1pm. United menu. Mainly breakfast. They do know the difference between over easy and over medium with no slim. Lol scrapple was cooked very well they do have a few off menu items like a great steak tips and egg omelet. Have been here twice. Both times food was great. Most workers have been there for year. The lady that took our order had a thing for buddy that was very funny every time she addressed you it was how can I help you buddy. Or you need a refill buddy. It was kind of funny. Ok it was roll on the floor funny. But great food and prices...
