Place was relatively clean, waitress was excellent, food was awful. Husband ordered creamed chipped beef and got a half a loaf of bread with gravy and a shred or two of meat. Fried potatoes were globs of soft chunks, no crispness or crunch. I got the fried fish fillet sandwich daily special that tasted way too fishy and part of the fillet that should be white was an odd brown color. Waitress saw I wasn't happy and offered another meal. I chose a cheeseburger, and that came overcooked and rubbery. I find it hard to believe that this place attracts such a crowd, but then again, there's nothing else in the area except a dingy Burger King. Maybe the popularity is based on nostalgia because I can't imagine it's based on the food. I've had a better prepared and more flavorful breakfast on a hospital tray. Eggs and toast were fine, bacon was poor quality and merely heated... not cooked, home fries where just globs of overcooked, absolutely flavorless potatoes that appeared more boiled than fried... not at all browned and not at all helped by the flavorless onions I added which were also not browned... just white, mushy, and flavorless like the rest...

Lol scrapple was cooked very well they do have a few off menu items like a great steak tips and egg omelet. Have been here twice. Both times food was great. Most workers have been there for year. The lady that took our order had a thing for buddy that was very funny every time she addressed you it was how can I help you buddy. Or you need a refill buddy. It was kind of funny.
