Jam Rock Caribbean Cuisine — Restaurant in Coatesville

I went to this restaurant when they first open a few years back and I loved the atmosphere . The food was great and the staff was professional . My daughter , son and I went in Saturday afternoon When entering the restaurant it spelled rotten Only fridge was on with very limited drinks The dessert fridge was empty and broke There was nothing in the heater were the beef patties are usually kept So I assumed they were closed A young women walked out on her phone , we asked if they were open In a very nasty tone she stated “ isn’t the open sign on the door ?” And she continued to look down on her phone . I told my daughter we were leaving . I don’t plan on returning I would rather go into Philadelphia PA rather then go to a run down place and a staff member with attitude . I wish these local businesses would learn word a mouth means everything . I don’t live in coatesville pa , however I traveled 45 minutes because I thought I would have the same experience . The food was decent for a restaurant in the middle of nowhere Pennsylvania. I was there right after they opened and the service was much better than these other reviewers made it sound. The space is clean and large. I ordered the oxtails, my only complaint, they didn't give enough. Also, my Rice and Peas was missing Peas... NBD tho, it was seasoned well and I could tell they cooked it right. I got a hint of the coconut milk! To be clear, this is no NYC or even Philadelphia Jamaican restaurant, but if you are in the greater Philadelphia region and you dont want to drive into the city this place will actually give you a good taste of home or for those of you not from JA, it's a good introduction...

Their food is horrible 😭. My first time there and could not find any other Caribbean food but this place. I asked a lady how's there food and she said great. I said to myself, I haven't came across bad Caribbean food in awhile. Hey..why not, the restaurant owner was nice and I asked why they didn't have Mac and cheese on their menu. He said that they were bad at making it, Lord if I would have tasted their Jerk Chicken and rice and beans with cabbage.
