I tried my dining partners Potatoes O' Brien today, because I was curious. I don't ever order them because normally I don't like them. These were THE BEST tasting I have ever had, in the USA anywhere! I am going back just to order a big ole plate of Potatoes O'Brien! He had ordered the Pork Chop Breakfast & he wanted me to try them. I am glad I did. I had the cook make me 2 eggs over hard, a slice of melted American Cheese & a toasted English Muffin, made into a Sandwich, served with Hashbrowns. It was delish! Their all you can eat Salad & Soup Bar looks amazing too! We'll come back for Lunch soon & both have that! This Restaurant used to be a Truck Stop with a different name years & years ago. I used to bring my kiddos here when they were quite little, because I could feed them a TON of food for next to nothing. We came SO often, that the Waitresses knew my kids by name! I even remember bringing them here for Thanksgiving! My kids are in their 30's & 40's now & although the place is way different in looks & name, that cozy, warm feeling is not. The huge portions for an inexpensive price hasn't changed. The quality of the food is still spot on too! My Son & his Wife & myself were all thrilled to come here & left 100% satisfied with everything! Our server was a gem & even though my Son couldn't remember coming here as a wee one, he said he could tell that it was a fond memory for me. Our Omelette, Pancake, Bacon, Biscuits & Gravy, Eggs & hashbrowns were beyond fresh & tasty. The store & gift shop are totally cool & have some very unique finds to buy. Coburg is only a hoot & a holler from our house, so this could be dangerous for our waistlines! *giggling* Seriously, a lot of folks prefer to go to the froo froo type restaurants in the Eugene area, but they are 100% missing out on the hidden gem of fantasticness that is here!

Went here with my family yesterday and man was it delicious! My husband remembers going here when he was younger often and we always drive by it when we are in Coburg. We always said we gotta go one day. Yesterday I was wanting breakfast and my husband suggested Coburg Crossing. Inside is bigger than it seems and there is a giftshop/convenient store. Our waitress was very upbeat and helpful, we ordered decaf coffee and after looking over the menu extensively I kept coming back to the Swiss Mushroom Omlette. They ran out of Decaf coffee so I eneded getting some orange juice. I chose hashbrowns over the potatoes o' brien but after seeing what they looked like, the next time I go back I'm defintely trying. Everything looks and tastes fresh. Aged Swiss cheese with seasoned mushrooms and three farm fresh eggs, hashbrowns, homemade biscuit, and a side of gravy; my taste buds were in heaven. If you haven't been, you're missing out. Take your family, friends, date, or just yourself, you will not be disappointed!

Made the short trip up I5 to have a fantastic breakfast at Coburg Crossings Cafe. Usually, I start with the food - but when the service is this good, you gotta call it out. Our waitress was so nice, the manager was here there and everywhere with a big smile on his face. Regualrs were greeted by name and first-time dinners (like us) were welcomed with open arms. They were all in a great mood and quick to help. Everything we had was well made and delicious. The eggs Benny had good flavor and egg was poached a little over but still good. The gravy was so very tasty on the biscuits as well as the chicken fried steak. And the chicken fried steak was massive and so crispy. Everyone had hashbrowns and they all came out crispy and golden. The parking lot is a little awkward but still easy to navigate. The restrooms are cleaned and well kept - though shared with the actual truck stop.

Pulled over to grab a quick bite at this little diner. Extremely impressed! This is the CLEANEST and most efficient place that I have been in, including many high-end restaurants, in decades. I gingerly reached for the salt and pepper and was pleasantly surprised to discover that they were shiny and squeaky clean! I have yet to be in a restaurant where the salt, pepper, sugar jar and condiments were kept clean like this as they were back in the fifties and sixties! Victor, one of the managers, was a "working manager" and was assisting with serving and cleaning up...with a smile no less! Our server, Noelle, was incredibly efficient, personable and always checking to make sure each and every customer had what they needed when they needed it. I could see into the kitchen and it was as clean as everything else; the kitchen staff were busily and efficiently preparing the meals. The dishes were coming through the pass-through very quickly and all the servers were assisting one another in getting them delivered to their appropriate table in the most efficient time. Who would have believed that you could go into an old-time Diner, part of a TA truck stop, received an old-time home cooked meal, prepared to order...and then ordered in a place clean enough to pass the inspection of an operating room almost. I rarely give reviews but this one deserves one of the highest for their friendliness, efficiency, food quality in a home like fashion, and cleanliness that is above expectations...AND for an affordable price! My husband and I shared the stuffed meatloaf dinner and the kitchen staff seperated it onto 2 plates. The servings were more than enough for two hungry people. The servings are very substantial and the prices are extremely fair and reasonable..more than enough...

This used to be a nice little cafe that both my Wife and I enjoyed. Friendly service, generous portions and that small town vibe that is becoming rarer and rarer these days.

It is now extinguished here as well since the TA has decided to go Iron Skillet with it in all but name and I expect that will soon be foisted upon the captives here, otherwise known as Truck Drivers- who will no doubt SWARM the McDonalds and Indian food truck across the way due to Iron Skillet’s expensive mediocrity and total lack of anything worth eating on the menu for the price.

My Wife and I came here for dinner the other night and as soon as I saw the “smothered steak” on the new menu I knew- Iron Skillet. I myself have gotten sick at Iron Skillet two times out of three times I have been- once at Corning, Ca.and once at Ontario, Ca.- enough to let me know that eating there is chancy at best- potentially life-threatening at worst.

It’s a shame that they gobbled up the little cafe that was here, I used to adjust my backhauls just to stop here as it is convenient to Eugene where I live and it was nice to 34 here. Not that I do that drive anymore, now I am local, but suffice it to say Pioneer Plaza at 216 will be getting any of my cafe business from here on out.

Do yourself a solid and avoid it unless you really don’t like yourself, there are far better options with better...
