If I could give zero stars, I would.

Food Quality I'm a New Yorker (recently moved down here). This restaurant claims in big letters outside that they cater, "New York Style Chinese” — whatever. Their food tastes NOTHING like NY Chinese, not even a bit. They can’t even get the signature fried rice right. It’s usually busy because so many of the Chinese restaurants in the surrounding area are hugely disappointing and/or very disgusting; but even so, I've had instances where they served me spoiled food (shrimp & veggies should not smell / taste like ammonia). Tried ordering their shrimp in lobster sauce to switch it up, & found bits of what appeared to look like cockroach legs. They will serve you spoiled meats and veggies to cash in on their inventory, and do not employ hygienic practices.

Portions & Prices What really ticks me off about the prices are their portions. Almost all the dishes are nearly $10 - $12 with no extras. I recently came back from NY, and not only is the food WAYYY better; but the prices for meals range from $8-$11; which also include an eggroll, small soup, & a soda. Down here, you are paying at least $10 - $13 for less meat, flavor, rice & no extras. The cherry on top — they will not serve the rice on individual orders in separate containers — I have asked and the answer is always no because it’s "a rule." Whose rule? This isn’t a rule back in NY. If you are ordering with another buddy or colleague from work, expect to have all the rice mixed into one plastic container. They do this to save money on containers, and to get away with serving less individual portions of rice.

Horrible Customer Service If the food won't do it, there's two employees in particular that will really turn you away from this place. A short chef & a young Asian girl who appears to be selective on who to be courteous to (has to be in high school, at most). Instead of being rude back, or saying anything that would make me stoop low — I rather hit ‘em where it hurts the most, and stop supporting their business. If you can drive a little further (bc this place doesn’t deliver anyway), try Mongolia Wok. They are about the same; but at least have more flavor in the food and serve...

This woman prepared my food and when I went to pick it up there was at least five bags on the table that she was getting ready for pre-orders that were placed online. One of those being mine. I ordered meals and with those meals come an egg roll and soup. I drove all the way home to find out that there was no soup in one of my meals, and I was also missing one of the egg rolls that I paid for extra. I called her to tell her what happened and she told me that she personally put together my order and that she put everything in there and there was nothing missing. Why would I lie over something that costs barely anything? I could see if I had told her that I was missing a dinner but I did not, because I was not missing one, I was missing an item that is fairly small and comparison to prices. She absolutely refused to rectify the situation. That just goes to show her level of customer service. She's lucky that my son was okay when I came home and we ate the chicken that was clearly old and reheated, because there was hard pieces in the chicken that he could possibly have choked on. Even when another family member has some day as well had the same experience. This place is a despicable place, and I would not be surprised if it is covered in cockroaches and who knows what else in that disgusting looking kitchen. Definitely choose...

updating my review 7/14/25: our family took a 2 year break due to the previous issues but decided to try it again. happy to say that things improved and we are back to being regulars again! i’m very happy to have my spot back.

After eating here since 2002 or so and being a loyal customer, I'm sad to say my family won't be returning. Since their 2+ month closure in March, the restaurant has been unable to make a correct order. Four times since they opened back up, all four times we have ordered, they have screwed up our orders by missing meals completely (3 times), or giving the wrong food (1 time). The food is not worth the aggravation any longer. Ridiculous. The people manning the phones need to be more considerate and pay attention when the customers are speaking to them, and verify orders instead of quoting a price and rushing them off the phone.
