We've been here a number of times and normally have a wonderful experience. This time, however, was an exception. I ordered the Lechon Asado and asked whether it has onions when I ordered it. (I know it normally has onions at other restaurants.) The server said no so I said, "great because I don't like onions". When another server brought the food, it was covered with onions. I told her that I checked to make sure there were no onions when I was ordering. The lady took the plate back and returned less than 5 minutes later... with the EXACT SAME plate. I moved the pork around just to verify and sure enough, there were still remnants of onion they missed when they picked it out of the dish. I waited 5 minutes to see if one of the servers would come back to the table to check on us. No one came so I got up and walked my plate back to them. I told them that I know they just picked out the onions and I CANNOT eat that dish, so I need to order a different dish. The lady took the plate from me and just handed it to the kitchen; then turned to me and asked what I want. Not one apology was offered--only a look of annoyance. I should not be made to feel bad for being unhappy because I did not receive what I ordered and expecting an error to be corrected with an apology and kindness. To top it off, they just refried the fried sweet potatoes from my first plate and used them on my new plate. How cheap can you get?! You're willing to sacrifice quality of food and the customer experience to save a couple dollars?! The servers also never brought us bread or offered to refill our waters. I hope the owner and management realizes how unprofessional this is. (I don't think this is an isolated incident because the table right next to us had the same server and ordered a steak and shrimp dish, but received a steak and chicken dish.)

I tried this Cuban restaurant that I’ve been meaning to go to for a while that has mostly sat under my radar for the last six or seven years. I went for lunch, and I got an empanada and a pan con lechon sandwich. Caribbean Grill does not make its appetizers such as croquetas, papa rellena, and empanadas, it brings them in. That said, I happened to really like the empanada. The waiter told me that they recently changed the product from a Chilean or Argentinian style one that they were bringing in before, it has a really good sofrito flavor to it. My benchmark test for a Cuban restaurant is typically one of the braised/sauteed dishes or roasted meat dishes, such as Lechon, Ropa Vieja, or Picadillo, because this is where you can really taste the seasoning and the cooking technique. The lechon sandwich (which I always prefer to a Cubano) is excellent, it’s very nicely marinated with a lot of mojo and has a good garlic flavor as well. I got mine with a little bit of extra onions on top. The meat is very moist, which is something that I look for in this type of sandwich, and the Cuban bread was also very good and toasted nicely. The restaurant has a full coffee bar, so you can get your café con leche fix here, also, they have wine and beer but they do not serve hard alcohol. I would definitely come back here, to try some of the other dishes.

Amazing taste. Excellent service. Great food. The ambiance is relaxed, fresh, clean, private (great distance from table to table) and cozy. The servers are welcoming and friendly. The “sazon” or flavor of the food is “on point” for a restaurant advertised as a Cuban Restaurant. We tried the Arroz con Pollo (super moist, not sticky and well seasoned) and the Churrasco. The arroz con pollo had peas in it and plenty of shredded chicken chunks. The churrascos’s chimichurri (seasoning) was great and it was served on the sizzling skillet). The customer, though, needs to not only specify but explain the exact term for the steak otherwise he/she may receive an overcooked piece. The sweet plantains texture was just right and they were not overcooked or undercooked like in many restaurants. The potato salad was also good, although it had a bit of mustard added to it (not sure that’s very Cuban). The term of the potato in the potato salad was just perfect (not under or overcooked). The tostones (green flattened fried plantain) were crunchy and fresh. The presentation of the dishes was appealing. Great job CCGCC and thank you for your excellent service. We’ll definitely be back if found in that area of FL again.
