I am not a particularly difficult person to please but it was impossible to ignore just how bad my dining experience was at Salty Days. So much so that I’m writing this on my way home! For starters (literally) the Oysters weren’t shucked all the way and I had shells with every bite?? The crispy rice tuna tartare was A.) not a tartare? and b.) just burnt rice????? As for the entrees, the scallop dish was delicious from start to finish, the swordfish was good though my guest asked for no olives and it still came with olives, the poke bowl had overcooked rice (who in the kitchen has never cooked rice before??) it was dry and boring and my son’s quesadilla was burnt and barely had cheese in it. The ambiance was fine, despite sitting next to a tv that was live streaming a bar in USVI in black and white that was experiencing a storm, and the service was OK given everyone who worked there was clearly pretty young. Would I recommend? No chance. There is better food at the Galley in Scituate, the Oysterman in Duxbury and several places in Marshfield and Plymouth. Definitely skip.

The spices of the cod sandwich were light to not remove focus from how fresh the fish was. The clam chowder was some of the best I’ve ever eaten. With hints of smoked bacon, perfectly executed. We ended up buying a quart since it was so good. Owner was super friendly and came to talk with us, great guy who really knows his stuff. We loved the meal and we would make the drive for it again.

Got there right at opening and was greeted by a very welcoming staff. Offerings from Trillium & Vitamin Sea on draft. Started by crushing a dozen oysters and followed them up with the fish sandwich w/fries Fresh Cod was amazing. Housemade tartar sauce was exceptional Definitely recommend stopping in here. Looking forward to our next visit! Get Salty Days in the rotation. Sláinte 🍻

Walked in a man with a beer in his hand sat us at the closest table to the door and hostess stand (assuming that he was owner). A waitress came and took our drink and appetizer order. The empty appetizer dish sat for 15 minutes on the table before the presumed owner came back over. Took our dinner order order 3 sushi rolls received 2. Never got asked to refill drinks. Had 4 different servers while there. The oyster and shrimp tower was delicious, sushi wasn’t sub...

Got In and got immediately seated by the nicest lady. Then less than 2 minutes later asks us what we would like to drink. Once we got our drinks only 5 minutes into the experience we placed our food order. Which was fairly priced considering the quality of food, and the part of Massachusetts we were in. The food was delicious, and the music was amazing as well. Overall a great place to hop in and have a quick bite, with good prices for the area and...
