Barnesburg Tavern & Grille — Restaurant in Colerain Township

We were able to get the last parking spot available and was surprised that the place was half empty. We decided to sit on the bar side and took a tall table top towards the end of the place by where you walk out to sit outside. While in restroom husband order a drink and was there when I returned. And there we sat and sat and sat and sat and sat - we watched couple after couple come in, be greeted by a waitress (two were on duty) welcomed and sat at tables and orders taken - and yet no one talked to us. My husband said he thought the bartender felt bad for us and was the one that he ordered the drinks from but had no idea who was our actual waitress out of the two we saw helping others. after about 15 minutes when again another couple came in and the waitress immediately attended to them - we inquired as to why are they getting service when we have been there for a very long time. And the look on the waitress face was priceless - basically how dare we interrupt her talking with her client. She said she thinks that is just how it works there - We asked why we were not getting service and every table but ours who came in after us was - she said she had no idea and went up to bar to talk to bartender. At that point the owner - goes over to the couple that we "interrupted" their service and started chatting it up with them - while the bartender came over to us to say what was the problem. We explained that we didn't understand why we were being ignored for the last 15 - 20 minutes now. She stated this was her table and didn't mean to ignore us. We really couldn't hate on her - she was quite busy at the bar it was a game night and there was a packed bar area - and seemed very busy --- but we had no idea she was our waitress and why would we. The fact the waitress that we asked treated us like rude people for asking for service and the fact the owner was within 10 feet of us listening to all this and DID NOTHING absolutely nothing but talk to probably regulars that know better then to sit at the table we did - was just insulting. We were given our drinks free - but we didn't even bother to drink them we just left - felt very unwelcomed and unwanted. I am not saying this is a typical visit --- we have eaten there before on the other side where there are lower restaurant tables .. but I do believe that no one in that place cares about anyone but their regulars --- just very unfriendly and since it is such a hassle to get a parking place probably not a place you want to visit if you don't go there as a...

We went for their Taco night. Major disappointment and gross factor. We had the nachos first as an appetizer and should’ve stopped there, they weren’t good either. However the taco was laughable. I mean just try to add something to it, it wouldn’t hurt and could help!! The beef is just …. I don’t know, grade C probably. I think beef at McDonalds probably would be better quality. No care whatsoever in presenting them or making sure they’re worth the money paid. They’re terribly small, I have very small hands. However you wouldn’t want them any bigger, it was hard enough eating the entire thing as is. I thought the saving grace would be their salsa, but no… I think it made it worse if it could’ve. The service was terrible- very unfriendly and hurried, they were not busy. We did not complain. The bus service was equally terrible, in that he basically hovered over your table taking your plates away while you were reaching for last item on your plate. I’d understand if they were busy and needing more plates, or even if close to closing, but this was 4:30 in the afternoon. Ridiculous. Cute restaurant in a nice location however. Stopped in for a late dinner and while the food was good, service was absolutely horrible. The server put the mozzarella sticks app in ten min after we ordered it because I watched her put our entire order in. I waited for ten minutes for her to come around so I could order a coke, for her to never return but instead sat down as if she wasn't working (well she wasn't but I'm sure the time clock didn't reflect that). I then had to ask the owner for my pop and drank the entire pop before she dropped our check off. I will remember to never come back on a Thursday. You wanna know why you didn't get a tip-because your performance didn't earn one....too bad because I tip good I'm in the industry, but I tip based on job performance, and honestly had to leave quickly before I embarrassed you in front of the remaining...
