FINAL UPDATE Feb '24. Not returning. Slow service, Unattentive waitress & two men allowed to sit, done when WE arrived, at table for 6 people, for 45 more minutes, talking away. Others had to wait and sit by cold front door at tiny bar. Place is NOT big enough to ALLOW RUDE SELFISH to LINGER while others wait. You simply WILL NOT address this continual problem. I posted a suggestion for a polite verbiage at the end of this original long post, for a small sign for your tables, but you WON'T do anything about this PROBLEM. Your food is usually good, but NOT your lack of diplomacy. So you have lost our business. And probably other folks' as well. I even had bought a gift card for someone but am now embarrassed to have suggested this place for them. UPDATE: Jan 2024: Had to drop from original 4 stars down to two. First subpar meal. Don't get breakfast late in the day. Old greasy hard potatoes, rock hard wheat toast, and goetta that was smelling and tasting bad. Two small gnats continually buzzing our food. And for sometime, charging for a cup of water. Jeeze this is annoying. Cold air blowing out of the overhead vents.

ORIGINAL POST: Love their breakfasts, coffee, breakfast potatoes. Great ham on their sandwiches, wonderful carved turkey also on sandwich. Delicious chicken "pot pie" soup! Super delicious & tastes just like chicken pot pie without the crust. Even their packaged saltines are great! Only open one eve on Wednesday. Get their early for the one or two piece meatloaf dinner, great green beans, mashed potatoes, roll, & great slaw with crushed peanuts on top. All delicious. Would prefer the meatloaf without the bbq/ketchup sauce on it, tho. Great baked goods, especially the brownies & cherry turnovers. Not too fond of the herb rolls, wild berry tea, or tomato dill soup or chicken salad. Still trying new items each visit! Overall pretty darn good & reasonable prices, especially the baked goods. Gonna get quart of the chicken pot pie soup & use it for the base for my own homemade chicken pot pie, just add some chunks of the cooked veggies, chicken etc. Will be great. We'll be back again & again!!😋👍💗

Update: Total Diva customer parked in the "To Go" parking CLEARLY MARKED. She did this when she saw us parking WAY out, so she could hop out of the vehicle grab her small boy & grab the ONLY available table. 😡 We sat at the end of another table, sharing with two gracious ladies. Another booth with 3 women who SAT, SAT, and SAT talking & talking caused TAG'S to lose customers who gave up & left. They were totally done with their meals. 😧Tag' s should politely ask these kind of people, "do you need any containers, can I take your bill up? Etc.....maybe THAT would give these yaking selfish people a hint. As we were finally served, we invited 3 new ladies to sit at our table. AND the Diva gal AND the 3 talkers STILL hadn't left. Karma will catch up with them. Otherwise, cold potatoes were promptly replaced with hot ones. We will try to find a less busy time. Tag's perhaps you could place a small sign on your tables that says: "Due to limited seating...Please refrain from lingering if folks are waiting to be seated. Thanks for your courtesy."

Unfortunately, we live in a ME, ME, ME society, as demonstrated by the Diva, and the other three women, all of whom apparently could care less who else wants...

i love tags! it’s always a good pick me up when i just don’t feel like cooking that morning and when i just wake up and crave it. i have always had a great customer service experience from the servers but there is one girl today who was just extremely rude and dismissive. i did not catch her name but i could tell she was stressed which is totally fine. i worked in customer service for years so i feel for her. while she was taking our order this morning i felt very rushed even though i already had everything picked out and ready. she spoke to us like she just did not want to be there if that makes sense. we waited 40 minutes for our to go order and i was afraid to even ask her for the drinks that we ordered while we waited. when i finally thought out order was ready, i went to reach for a bag that i thought was ours and she snapped at me “THIS IS NOT YOURS” and stormed passed me. listen i get it. a saturday morning is super stressful at every restaurant, but she needed to take a break or something. like i said before, everyone else i have had there was fantastic and had such good energy. we will still go here for obvious reasons because it is delicious but this girl just does not match the energy of a good...

Good food, but terrible service,

Usually when we go, the service is scattered and unorganized, but today was our final straw, we showed up, and asked to sit outside, and we were told to seat ourself outside and a server would be right out, we waited over 20 minutes and decided to just go inside, order at the counter, and then just eat it outside when we got the food. We started ordering, and right before payment we said we were going to eat outside, the separate cashier cancelled our order, and told us to wait outside for a server, we waited another 13 minutes before deciding to call it and head over to a different cafe,

The icing on the cake is that a regular came in while we were attempting to order at the counter and said it seemed like quite a slow day,

It’s a cafe, not a steakhouse, 30+ minutes on a “slow day” to not even be...
