Best Pizza & Wings — Restaurant in College Park

My name is Kelly. I ordered a fifteen piece lemon pepper wings. When I received them the wings seem as if they had been sitting there for a minute. They we're soaky in a lot of lemon pepper. I could not eat them past 3. My dog didn't even want the one I gave to her. I called them and I wasn't met with customer service or an apology or a willingness to replace them. I had to leave my apartment and walk to their restaurant because my truck is broke.. She begins to argue with me, The owner about the food as if I didn't just give her my money. I told her I didn't want to argue. I just won't come back no more she said o k. This is what's done when an Indian race ..... sets up in a black neighborhood. How can you argue with me about what I'm tasting when I have Never had a problem with the wings before. I ordered a chicken plate before and the chicken was friend too hard! I didn't even complain! So her and the cook proceeded to tell me what I was not tasting and that I should have asked for light lemon pepper when I have never asked for extra pepper, they remade the wings with the same wings. Cause they're still soggy and wet. They put lemon pepper on the side. We should stop giving these people our business and let them go find another little hut They could go do business in because They really don't care it seems. If you own a business care about the people who put money in your pocket I have a problem with that. Best Pizza food is not the best food around here. It's tolerated because they're close and open late. All the business I've given them throughout the years of me living in my apartment 6 years this is what I get. I'm very shocked! Never again will I deal with this establishment. For starters, their customer service skills are nonexistent. I once called in an order and when I arrived to pick it up, a few Arab guys were in a huddle talking. I tapped the counter to let them know that I was present and they looked at me, then continued on with their conversation. As a result, I left. I hadn't yet paid so I lost nothing.

I decided to give them another shot figuring that maybe the first situation was a one off but this time, much the same thing happened. I called to place a pickup order, I arrived and when I got to the counter, an Arab guy was there and talking on the phone. He looked directly at me and continued talking on the phone without even acknowledging me. Then, when the pizza came, I took a look at it and told him that the cheese was burned. What does the Arab guy do? He took the pizza to the back and sprinkled some cheese on it that was slightly melted. I was extremely insulted by such actions.

I used to go there regularly but now, I will never spend another cent in their store. They used to have good pizza that lived up to their name but their quality has gone down the toilet. I read the post of another reviewer who mentioned how Arab store owners act in black neighborhoods and I'm in agreement with that person. And this is coming from someone (me) who has a great disdain for those who play the race card but I've got to call a spade a spade. My main reason for giving them a "1" is they have poor customer service overall. When you call the woman doesn't speak good English and the some of the young people they have working there are nonchalant when you call.

Anyway, I ordered through BeyondMenu at 9:11 p.m. on a Friday (1/23/16). I never received my food, nor was I contacted by the third party delivery service indicating they were closed or there was an issue. I called continuously to the delivery service and the restaurant and got no answer.

This only added to my disdain for them. The amount we had been charged on three occasions was always more when the driver showed up. We didn't notice until after the 3rd order so we started using a credit card. The food is good and the facilities are ok. They say they pass inspection according to the grading on the wall. But I know better than to have high expectations of foreigners coming into Black neighborhoods and not appreciating our money. Besides, it's in the hood. It's cheap. And I guess that's what I get for expecting better from them and I should have learned my lesson from the overages on my order. I won't order...
