More like 3.5 because the wait staff was incredible! I love our waitress so much! Anyway, the reason for star deduction is FLAVOR. The food is lacking it! We were expecting a little spice, a little flavor, SOMETHING. It started with the Queso, I had to close to my eyes to see if it even tasted like anything. It didn’t even taste like cheese, so I mixed it with the salsa (the cup of queso is $6, might as well make it work). The salsa tastes great by the way. I ordered the Pollo crema and the Elote as recommended by other Yelpers, same issue. The flavors were so bland, even the cilantro rice barely tasted like cilantro. I was expecting more of a Tajin flavor on top, it was paprika. Maybe the food is old and has been reheated? That is the only reason I can come up with as to why the flavors are SO muted. My husbands Carne Asada was $21 and he was very disappointed with the lack of flavor on his steak as well. He didn’t even take any to go and the waitress asked if it was okay since he left so much on the plate. In conclusion, we spent $80 tonight and I won’t be returning for this food. Those sopapillas, the salsa and tortilla strip soup are the redeeming items here. I was super surprised with the tortilla soup, it was divine!

For the price, this place is basically a five-star restaurant. The food was excellent overall—great flavor, generous portions, and definitely a good value. The fajitas were tasty, though a bit on the tough side, which is the only reason I wouldn’t give a full five stars. The experience was a little awkward at first. There wasn’t anyone at the front to greet us, and it took someone noticing the growing line to step in and seat us. Unfortunately, we were placed at a dirty table, but they quickly noticed, apologized, and cleaned it up right away. We also almost ordered from the lunch menu but were informed it’s only available Monday through Friday. Not a big deal, just added to the slightly disjointed feel of the service. That said, the atmosphere both inside and outside was very pleasant. Despite the minor hiccups, I’d definitely come back—especially considering the quality you get for the price. 20.00 per person approx

I have the Ad Pages app, and in that app was a coupon for Anna‘s Mexican Grill. The coupon was for half off a second entrée. In our case, that would have been nine dollars off. When I presented this coupon to our waiter, he came back and said that was only valid before 4 PM. As you can see from the picture of the coupon, nowhere does it state the time restriction. We asked for the manager to come to our table. She brought over the coupon from the paper ad pages, which had the time restriction. Again the ad on the app does not have that. She would not honor the coupon. Instead we use the 15% off coupon which ended up being a discount of $5.40. For just $3.60 more she would’ve had a guaranteed repeat customer. Now I’m not so sure. Poor, poor customer service!

Went to Anna’s Mexican in Colleyville for lunch today....first time I’ve been there for lunchtime.....I usually go on Friday or Saturday nites and sit in the bar area and always love the bartender Maria as she always gives us good customer service......Maria was unfortunately not there for lunch today. As We went in and stood there and NO ONE acknowledge us so I asked a young gal bout being seated or do we seat ourselves....with her broken English she told me she will be there in a few min while talking to me with her hand.....finally a waitress pointed to where we need to go sit....wasn’t sure the exact table and couldn’t understand her but we waited for her to take us to the table. There were 2 people at the bar and only 3 tables were occupied....very empty so they were NOT busy. The waitress we had has been serving tables there for as long as I’ve been going there for dinner....her customer service was TERRIBLE and treated us RUDELY! I’m very DISAPPOINTED how she handled a situation with a friend I was with that had a big piece of chicken bone in her tortilla soup and she almost swallowed it. My friend asked for the manager but she continued to argue and I honestly don’t think there was a manager on duty! Very BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE!! As we were walking out to leave...the waitress was saying rude things to my friend and followed her out to write down her car plates! That’s just weird and over $15.00. Not sure what happened to customer service but it was definitely NOT provided from the waitress nor the young gal as a hostess....as that’s what I think she was....NOT a good hostess. The whole staff seemed to be annoyed and just not nice. As a regular customer....I feel that we help keep their business running but I will NEVER go for lunchtime......only dinner!! Again....VERY...

Hidden gem of a restaurant tucked into a small shopping center in the middle of neighborhoods in the southern part of Colleyville (near Bedford). My family and I frequent this location as it has become our go-to restaurant for Tex-Mex in the area. Chips and salsa are complimentary and delicious! Todo’s queso is also excellent and a favorite appetizer of ours. The taco salad, nachos, fajitas, chimichanga, and enchilada plates are family favorites for meals. Waitstaff and servers are friendly and do a great job of keeping drinks, chip baskets, and salsa bowls refilled and getting meals out soon after you order. Prices are very reasonable and better comparable or slightly less than typical Tex Dining room is cozy and not over-crowded. A small bar area is located in the corner of the dining room behind half-walls. There are 4 or 5 TVs mounted on the walls around the dining room but they don’t dominate the room or feel intrusive like at some restaurants. I can’t speak to the bar drinks as I am a non-drinker, but all of the food plates we have tried have been delicious. Highly recommend giving this restaurant a try when you are anywhere near and crave some Mexican food (which is pretty much a non-stop...
