Restaurant is very bad and does not respect people It no longer mattered whether the food was good and acceptable as long as I remained hungry and did not eat dinner due to the rudeness of the service worker in the restaurant This evening I tried to get out on the dinner after months of illness and sit in the hospital so I tried to have dinner at the same time as my baby's sleep because I do not have a family that helps me so my child with me always, but dinner delayed for more than an hour and a half. My child woke up and started to cry. I was tired and hungry. I gave the baby to my husband and went out. To smoke cigars. I know how to respect the freedom of others. So I sat on the last chair and no one was sitting next to me and I was standing close to the end of the glass of the restaurant so I could watch my little child because I worried that my husband could not control the baby, but I did not sit near anyone until there were only two people eating Away from me. Then suddenly the worker came out and stopped at the door of the restaurant and shouted at me with a very very loud voice you can not smoke here and he returned to inside. OK ,I am 32 years old and I am not a small child and I do not accept to shout at me in this way, and then you are rude when you want to make a note for someone who just gets close to him and speaks in a low voice, not loud, not with all this audacity, I can hear you and I am not stupid like you, so that I do not understand Just ask him to get away a bit. But you stood at the door and started shouting out loud, you can not smoke here. Go away , You did not say, please, what is all this trouble, I think you should talk to me with a low voice and say please. Of course I was angry, I did not eat dinner, and my husband was upset, did not eat his dinner, and we went to the house, and then cried my child. I yelled at him. I was depressed and sad. You upset a whole family because of your chagrin, are...
Read moreWent to celebrate my daughter's 28th birthday with a party of 14 (10 adults-4 kids) worst mistake ever. Waiter was very disorganized and seemed overwhelmed. Took our drink order forgot 2 drinks said he would be right back with them which was ok by us. He came back to the table empty handedly and asked if we needed anything. Reminded him we were waiting for the 2 cokes we ordered 10 minutes before. He did finally come back with them. Asked for cheese and hot pepper flakes for our Entrees. Again said he would be right back but by the time he came back with both we were done our dinners so wasn't needed at that point. Dinners came out sporadically so we all didn't get to eat at the same time. Some of us were still waiting for food while others were done there dinner which was disappointing. My son ordered a ceasar salad extra with his dinner that was never brought out to him. We didn't feel like waiting for it since our entire party was done. Noticed it was still on the check and we let the waiter know it was never brought out. He said he would take it off the bill when it was run up and never did. Told the manager at the register who was a little arrogant and he brushed us off saying" it was taken off already its already done". Never was, didn't feel like going back and forth with him since clearly he had no idea what was going on. Don't like being taken advantage of and expect a little better service being we spent over $500.00 to feel underwhelmed. I will pass this place for now on and spend our money at an establishment who respects their customers. Food wasn't nothing to write home...
Read moreYou could call it a date (benefits of working together) but we needed a place to eat while talking business. I craved bread and pasta, so we made it a little fancier than usual. Needless to say, I turned off my weight watchers app for the day. 🤷🏻♀️ I actually lost 2 pounds. Maybe I haven’t been eating enough. I can fix that!
This is the first time we dined-in at Villa Barone. We once ordered food to-go during one of the arts events and I have been there for events, but it’s just not the same.
I do recommend making a reservation, especially on a weekend. I was able to get one same day, but I think we got lucky. It wasn’t too busy when we got there, but quickly filled up. We sat on the upper level along side two birthday parties. Lots of fun!
The food is INCREDIBLE. I definitely recommend the fried calamari. We are kind of critics about that and they passed with flying colors. I love, love, love that they do bread rolls and seasoned olive oil. It’s freshly baked on the premises and served warm. Perfect! I also love a good seafood linguine and they even accommodated me by switching up my sauce. Will got a chicken dish with cheese and spinach served with Alfredo tortellini. I know they make a good dessert, but I ate almost every bite of dinner and could fit no more!
Service was spot on - friendly and very attentive.
I highly recommend trying giving them a try for lunch or dinner when in...
