While the service and atmosphere were exceptional; the bar-b-que left me wanting. Let's start with the ribs: Little to no rub. They had decent bark, but not much in way of flavor. The rub they use appears to be salt and pepper with no other spices coming through. Additionally, there was no smoke flavor. The ribs themselves had the faintest tinge of a smoke ring, but a flavor more akin to what you get from an oven. The brisket: Quite possibly the best option on the plate. Flavorful and tender. Here is where their rub shines. Salt, pepper, and the faint hint of garlic bound well to the bark. At $7.00 a slice the price is worth it. Still no smoke though. The sides: The smallest portion of slaw I have ever received. It's the basic rough chopped, mayo slaw. No vinegar here. The best I could tell it is comprised of mayo, salt, pepper, and a dash of sugar. The baked beans were something different altogether. A three bean mixture comprised of red beans, pinto beans, and white beans. Simmered together with diced onions, some bacon and possibly pieces of BBQ meat all combined and held together with their homemade BBQ sauce. Not bad. The sauce: I had to take some time to figure out this sauce. It's good, just not what you may expect. A tomato or ketchup based sauce with either light brown sugar or molasses. It has definite notes of garlic and onion. It is probably the star of the show. There are typically two rules of thought when it comes to BBQ: Let the rub shine or the Sauce is the boss. Here I would say the sauce is what keeps folks coming. I might give them another shot sometime. At $37 I was expecting more.

I will go easy since they just opened… we walked in. Stood in the front door for a few minutes not knowing and nobody telling us where to sit. They finally told us to sit where we wanted. We sat and many waitresses walked by for about 10 minutes before we got a menu. We ordered bbq nachos, (3) 3 peace chicken tender meals and when the order came we got the nachos, a 4 peace chicken tender meal and (2) 2 peace tender meals? There wasnt even a 2 or 4 peice on the menu, only 3 and 5 peice. Took quite a bit to get our food. We swapped tenders around and made it work. Fries were ok, tasted kind of plain but ok. Tenders were very very tender but were more like a processed chicken patty texture and were very plain. Nachos were absolutely delicious! Not as many nachos as i expected and about half the amout you get at rick’s bbq but very very good nachos, just not enough bbq or even chips for the price but i do recommend trying them. All in all probably wont go back, service wasnt very good and out of all the food the nachos was really the only good thing worth bragging about. UPDATE: I let the newness settle and tried them again… i was greated as soon as i came through the door and they had my lunch sorder ready and sitting on the counter as soon as i walked in. I got back to work and opened the box and was glad to see they raised the portion size by quite a bit. I was delicious just like they were last time. Well done! Updating from 3 to 5 stars

Oh my! We were traveling through, kid was hungry, & it was just past lunch time so we googled a restaurant & found this place. They had a large group checking out, so the cook stepped out & got our drinks & took our order! Way to step up & help out ❤️ As the cook, he recommended it all, so that didn't help, lol. But I went with the Sweet Pork Salad special & hubby ordered the pulled pork tray & let me tell you.... we WILL be back!!!!! Think this place is the best BBQ house we've been to in S. TN & N. AL!!!!!!! Oh, I haven't even mentioned the house made jalapeno ranch dressing with the perfect flavor, light spice, & ranch coolness ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ And to top it off, the prices were extremely reasonable! Oh yeh, our daughters' homemade french fries were amazing & so were the 3 bean baked beans!

Fantastic place. Great food. A real find! Don’t let the unassuming appearance outside throw you off. Clean but no antiseptic smell when you walk in. Great lighting. Homey feel. Country southern music set at to a nice level to where you can actually hear each other talk and hold a conversation. Friendly owners and staff. Felt very welcome. Professional. Not expensive!

Owners, a husband and wife team, prepare just about everything from scratch. Very fresh, top quality ingredients and nice presentation of the dishes. But remember it’s a simple, straightforward kind of place with no pretense. This restaurant uses real stainless and real plates which we prefer. Unfortunately too many reasonably priced restaurants in the USA use throw away plastic.

We had the smoked chicken salad with campfire dressing. Beautiful arrangement on the plate. Delicious boneless smoked chicken that the owner smokes himself, served on a bed of very fresh salad greens with corn, thinly sliced cucumbers, carrots, cherry tomatoes, and a light amount of cheese that had been melted on top of the smoked chicken. Very tasty custom made “campfire” dressing. Sides of yummy baked beans (her mother’s recipe) and macaroni and cheese. For dessert we tried the 5 spice cake with orange infused icing (real orange zest). Homemade! The cake was delicious; made on site; not icy cold or stale like many restaurants. Excellent iced tea.

Treat yourself and go! And very conveniently located a short distance from the Natchez...
