After having a short day, we decided to go to Slice 420’s new location that happened to be closer to us. We love New York style pizza and haven’t been to Slice 420’s first location (Old Colorafo City) in almost 2 years. We figured it was time to revisit and try some new flavors along with some of their OG flavors.
First off, walking in - everything is clean. Very well kept and it was very easy to see that all slices were $5 each. The checkout clerks were attentive and helpful with telling us about the different pizza slices that were available.
We each choose 3 slices for a total of 6 slices and a total (after tip and tax) of $36.
My wife ordered the Cheese, Pepperoni & Chicken Parmesan slices.
Her favorite by far was the Chicken Parmesan slice. She loved the plentiful toppings and the flavor picked a lunch with the panko-breaded chicken and mozarella really delivering a great punch. The cheese and pepperoni were pretty good, but she definitely liked the specialty pizza more.
I ordered the Cheese, Classic White & The Sofia slices. The cheese is standard thin cheese pizza with great crust quality and no flop. Good amount of oil and very crispy crust.
The Sofia was packed with tons of spicy flavor. This pizza slice is a Sicilian pizza slice that had tons of hot cherry peppers and pepperoni. The Mike’s hot honey also came through and complimented the pizza well. Overall this was the slice that surprised me the most and I would definitely order a whole pie of this flavor.
My favorite pizza flavor though is their Classic White. It’s just what I remembered it was when I had Slice 420 in the past. Rich in ricotta with fantastic amounts of cheese is why this pizza is my favorite pizza slice in Colorado Springs. Without a doubt, their olive oil and garlic base is unmatched at Slice 420. My #1 slice recommendation but The Sofia is a very close second.
Overall, it was plenty of food and definitely worth the $36. We will be back to hopefully try other slices and their garlic knots (the garlic knots are only served as a “spur of the moment” dish without any heads up). It’s no wonder why Slice 420’s phenomenal pizza slices and fantastic story have become a staple for the Colorado...
Read moreI usually do my reviews on Yelp, but this location isn’t on there yet, so Google it is for this one. After living here 2 years, I was finally able to stop in & try this pizza I kept hearing about. I also relocated to CO for medical needs & love hearing their “why” behind Slice420.
I noticed their parking lot was quite full & the place seemed to be hopping. There were several tables full of people & only a few in line. Their system appeared to be having an issue, but the staff was moving through orders & keeping a positive momentum. Once I was up, I ordered 2 pepperoni slices & 2 white pie slices. The case was full of many tasty looking options. The total was around $20 for 4 slices, the white pizza was slightly more than a typical pepperoni slice.
On the drive home the smell of garlic 🧄 was amazing & I found myself getting excited to try this pie!!! The White Pie by far was the BEST I’ve ever had. It had the perfect coexistence of olive oil, garlic, crust & that ricotta cheese that was out of this world. I find in most white pies I’ve eaten that it is usually lacking ricotta, this pie was not!! I was very pleased with my choice & have found a new favorite place for a fabulous white pie.
Unfortunately, the pepperoni was not as well liked. I’m not a pepperoni pizza person, so I had to rely on another opinion for that one. The amount of cheese was disappointing & the crust was thinner then they would have preferred. They also said the pepperoni itself was very spicy. It wasn’t enjoyable to them, so I had to take that into consideration.
Overall, the experience was good. The staff seemed to be positive & excited to be there. My White Pie slices were amazing!!! I will definitely be returning to try some other pies & other tasty things!! Love your mission, keep doing what...
Read moreSlice 420 in Colorado Springs, CO, has truly won me over with their delectable Vegan Pizza Roll. As a plant-based food enthusiast, finding a pizza that not only caters to my dietary preferences but also bursts with flavor is always a delightful experience.
The Vegan Pizza Roll at Slice 420 is a masterpiece of plant-based goodness. Loaded with a generous amount of spinach, hearty portobello mushrooms, succulent roasted red peppers, sweet caramelized onions, and the perfect touch of fresh garlic, each bite was a symphony of tastes and textures.
The spinach provided a fresh and vibrant element, while the portobello mushrooms added a satisfying meatiness. The roasted red peppers contributed a sweet and smoky flavor, and the caramelized onions brought a delightful sweetness to the overall profile. The fresh garlic tied everything together, giving the pizza roll a zesty kick.
What impressed me the most was the thoughtfulness put into creating a vegan option that doesn't compromise on taste. The crust was perfectly baked—crispy on the outside and delightfully chewy on the inside. The combination of ingredients was well-balanced, ensuring that no single element overpowered the others.
