I read quite a few reviews of pizza joints around Steamboat before deciding to come to How Ya Doin Pizza and Eatz. Maybe my expectations were too high, but I was pretty disappointed, as was my companion. First: the service: We sat at the bar. I first asked for a water with lemon, and my companion a beer. After we ordered our food, a Philly Cheese Steak pizza and a meatball sub, we felt totally ignored by the bartender. She disappeared for quite a while, so one of the other wait staff nicely helped us when we asked for something before our food came. We asked the bartender for a to go box, and also later for the check. She never asked if we wanted another drink, (ours were empty), or anything else. It was a Thursday evening and not busy. 0 follow up to me is unacceptable. (I've been in the food service industry 17 years) She (Jade according to my reciept) was mostly busy standing far down the bar near the kitchen chatting with other (male) employees. The food: My 10" Philly cheese steak pizza was just ok. The meat was so over cooked from the oven, it was chewy like beef jerky. I had to add some salt and pepper to my pizza for it to have any taste. The meatballs on the sub, according to my companion, were dry, and too large for the bread on which it was served. The food was not horrible, but not anywhere close to what I expected based on the price and reviews. I might return if I was actually being served by someone who cared about their customers (of any gender). The food runner and other gal who helped us made our night, after being ignored!!!

Overall underwhelmed with our experience. We called and ordered delivery over the phone. The lady who took my order was very sweet, and estimated delivery was an hour. After an hour and 20 minutes we called to check on the order and were told it would be another 20 minutes. No onto the good. The Caesar salad was very good. Pizza was warm, not hot. We ordered mozzarella sticks. Don't bother. They were soggy and not very good. Asked for ranch as well as marinara and didn't get it. The pizza was average. The margharita pizza well liked. The pepperoni pizza had very few pepperonis as you can see in the photo. The bbq chicken pizza was pretty good. I think dining in would definitely have been better and tastier. Next time on Steamboat I would try a different pizza place.

If there was a way to give 11 Stars, I would. This place embodies everything that makes Steamboat Springs amazing. Veteran owned, they take pride in their product and go the extra mile to make you feel special. We ordered a cheese pizza for the kids and the wife and I enjoyed the Bossman. I can’t say that I’ve had a better pie. The toppings were delicious and the sauce was on point. The crust was what put this place over the top. Crispy and full of flavor. No doubt I’d be a regular if we did not live 1,000 miles away. When I’m back in Steamboat, this place will be a must stop!!!!! Thank you “How Ya Doin!” You’ve made this family of four lifelong fans. Give them a try, you won’t be disappointed 🙌🏼😊

I gave How Ya Doin 3 stars because normally when we have eaten there and have ordered pizzas and salads, they have been amazing. But something was really off this time. Our Cobb salad was missing all of the typical fixings and very weak, so was our spinach salad. Pizza's crusts were thinner than normal and barely had any toppings even though we paid for them. We ordered a Chicken, Sun-dried tomato (In fact, I don't think I saw any sun dried tomatoes on there)Pesto Pizza and a Pepperoni, Mushroom, and Pineapple pizza..... barely any of those toppings on the pizzas. Pizza's used to be rich in flavor, toppings, crust, and sauces. Such a bummer. Didn't have the heart to ask my husband how much money this set us back. Just wondering if maybe due to the pandemic and re-opening of maybe we caught them on a bad day or month.... and if they just were cutting corners in every way possible OR just did not have ingredients. Please How Ya Doin..... make a comeback for us! This is the second time in a row that we have had this...

We enjoyed excellent pizza, and service when we visited steamboat in June. Last night, however was a different experience. Our waitress seemed disinterested in serving us, mumbling through the list of beers in rotation. What's funny is they are right next door to Storm peak brewing. Unfortunately, as I was advised, I could not bring a beer from storm peak to HYD pizza. Bummer, since the beer selection at HYD is marginal. And one in our group had ordered a cocktail, which cannot be taken to storm peak. Anyway, on to the pizza. We ordered a.philly steak and cheese, which in June we devoured. This time the meat was chewy and the cheese and sauce had no flavor. We also ordered a.meatball, BBQ chicken, and figgy. The best was the meatball, with lots of meat and flavor. The BBQ chicken was too heavy on the sauce and too skimpy on the chicken. The fig pizza also was good. Overall, compared to June, this only...
