The first time we ate there, I knew the dough to make the pizza was not from the US. I asked Marino and he confirmed that he imports it from his home town near Naples. It was delicious! I usually have the Fratelli with anchovies. It is delicious! I’ve also had the Francesca which is totally different and fabulous. My husband gets the Anna Marie which he’s introduced to other friends and they love it too! My mother-in-law gets pasta with meatballs, the sauce is delectable like my grandma from Sicilia used to make. Though when they have lasagna special, she orders it and loves it! We have brought most of our friends there and everyone raves about it. Thank you, Marino and staff, you are great! PS yes you have to wait for your food since it is made from scratch! Have a bottle of the wine Marino imports from his home near Naples, it’s lovely too, if you like dry reds. Ciao!
It’s 2022 and I STILL love Marino’s. Like all places, they struggle with staffing. And be patient! The food is worth the wait!
It’s now 2023 and Marino’s is still by far my favorite Italian restaurant in the metro Denver area. They added the Zuppa de Pesce which is a seafood soup (like ciappino)! I think I may be addicted to it. The broth has just the right amount of spice.
And I still love their pizza especially now I he gioa - arugula and prosciutto. Yum! Everyone I’ve taken there has raved about it and gone back again and again. This is REAL Italian!
I am never disappointed and neither are any of the many friends I have shared this jewel with. It’s always a delight!
And many years later I continue to enjoy their wonderful food! When I go to dinner with my friends, this is the only place they want to eat.
And I had the chicken parmigiana last time, my friend had the eggplant parmigiana and both were out of this world. Remember the restaurant scene in When Harry met Sally? That was us. We didn’t care about the...
Read moreThe lady running the register in a managerial capacity provides a questionable experience. Her manners and relations are toxic to their brand. The good quality product they provide won’t stop her from diminishing the company’s establishment in the industry of service! I didn’t conclude this the first time I ate here, though her dismissive attitude was frustrating. Months later, word of mouth brought my attention back to her, as my mother told me “I like the eggplant dish at the pizzeria down the street even thoug it was expensive. I won’t be going back because the lady at the front was extremely rude.” I decided that her opinion could be based on a misunderstanding and my experience could have been on an off day but her third strike came tonight when I went in and while I scanned the menu she engaged me with “do you know what you want”? I said “thanks for asking I’m still looking a bit” I sat the menu down and waited for her as she was operating the register, when she was dose she said “Well I guess you are ready now since you are staring at me.” I thought wow that wasn’t kind or appropriate but I let it slide and ordered. Another gentleman came in, sat next to me, placed a to-go order with a beer, and gave her a card that was declined. He tried to resolve the issue unsuccessfully and paid for the beer and left. He didn’t apologize but is he really obligated? It’s the right thing to do but he only represents himself there, not an entire business. She walked around slandering him as cheap, poor, and other base overly emotional positions. That is fine to do behind closed doors but within earshot of her patrons is unprofessional and disheartening. I am predicting that she soon goes behind the scenes or the business suffers from her arrogant entitled and...
Read moreWe went here on 4/26/19 to celebrate 2 birthdays. After waiting for our food for 45 minutes they bring one meal, out of 7. About 10 minutes later they come with the another 2 dishes, both being incorrect orders. They took the food back, and 5 minutes later brought back the same incorrect orders, saying they were sold out of what we had originally ordered. Not giving us an option to order something different, just decided we had to eat the incorrect dishes they had brought us. Another 10 minutes later we get 3 more dishes, and are still waiting on one dish. By now our table is upset, and still waiting on 1 margarita pizza (the most basic thing on the menu- their "most popular dish"). As we are waiting for our last dish our waitress sensed how upset our table is and sends the manager over. The manager proceeds to give our table an attitude after we asked her, why we were not informed the dish we had originally ordered was unavailable? Or why we were still waiting for our last pizza? She began to raise her voice at our table and ask what we wanted, in the middle of the dining room, very unprofessional. After another 15 minutes the last pizza finally came out, though everyone else was done eating by now, and ready to leave after being yelled at by the manager. Upon leaving, the manager stopped us and with an in your face attitude said, "dont you even think about leaving us a bad review." With that we said, "this is a customer service based establishment, and your customer service ma'am, is awful!" She began to yell and scream at us as we made our exit. Worst customer service I have ever experience in my life. Go here if you enjoy not getting the correct dish, bad customer service, and getting yelled...
