We frequented Parry's Pizza for over 5 years because of its service, cleanliness, and, bar-none, the best NY pizza around. The price was fair and we always got service with a smile. Things have changed. We went in today and the place was filthy. The chairs, tables, and floors all had build-up with dried food and grease splatters everywhere. In the past, whenever the staff wasn't serving a customer they would be constantly walking around wiping down everything. The staff today, was indifferent to us being the only ones in the restaurant. One of the employees was on break sitting at a table the whole time we were there while her fellow employee sat down with her and rested his foot on the top of the table. We got our pizza quickly and although the taste was as expected, the crust was flat as cardboard. It felt as though we bought it from a convenience store. The price of a large pepperoni pizza, salad, and two drinks cost $34.58, which my wife questioned. The employee told her the two fountain drinks were $3 each, which seemed high from our previous visits. Additionally, it was $7 for a salad with bag-o-lettuce, four cucumber slices, some chopped tomato and Newman's Own salad dressing packets. The price-point issue with the tab was more about principle. It feels as though the vendor is saying, "How much pain can the customer tolerate spending on sugar-water and lettuce?" Overall, the service was okay, but the experience with the price, food quality, and cleanliness get one star from us. It's sad, but we're done with this establishment. We realize this wasn't just a fluke thing from what we witnessed. I don't usually write posts like this, but it helps alleviate the frustration my family and I have, because of the waste of time, money, and what used to be an...
Read moreI usually don’t write public reviews but the experience that I had at Parry’s last night deserves recognition and a big pat-on-the-back to the management and staff!
I ordered one item in my order incorrectly, 100% my fault. After paying and realizing my mistake while picking up my take out order, I asked the woman (I think she is the manager or owner) working if I could get the correct item and I would pay for it or pay the difference. She was so kind and quickly asked the staff to make the correct item — even though they did everything right. She was extremely accommodating and generous, didn’t have me pay for the mess up and did it all with a smile on her face. Incredible customer service!
While I was there (the evening of Veteran’s Day), a Veteran came in and noticed that their free entree offer for Veterans was offered until 4pm (it was after 5pm). The same wonderful woman told him not to worry, she was grateful for his service, and that rather than ordering from the limited menu he could get whatever he would like. Wow. Again, one person going out of their way to make their patrons feel important and listened to.
Little situations like this make choosing a business to purchase from and support so much easier. Thank you, Perry’s, for being the bright spot of our weekend....
Read moreI saw the mixed reviews but decided to give this place a try as the menu looked perfect for the kids and me. Here’s what you should know before going:
the service was really good. They were not necessarily attentive, but were very kind and helpful when I asked for anything. They also came by to check on how the food was, which I’ve never experienced in a fast-casual restaurant before.
The food was good. I had the yankee fries (yum) and the kids had a slice of pepperoni and Mac n cheese (Kraft). It wasn’t anything amazing or special, but for a quick lunch spot it was exactly what we needed.
the service was a touch slow- but also because my daughter ordered the Mac n cheese, which they prepared fresh for her. I both appreciate them not being wasteful and having some prepared ahead, and not serving her old yucky Mac. So, the wait was acceptable to me. They also told me how long it would be when I put in the order. I’ve seen some of the other reviews regarding wait time, but I don’t see this as a problem with the restaurant, but rather with customer expectation.
Overall, I would recommend this place, especially if you are not in a rush and can be patient for your food to...
