Sonic Drive-In — Restaurant in Colorado

I don't feel like I've ever had a great experience at this Sonic but this last one was particularly terrible. First they had a sign on their speaker that said it was very quiet (fix it?), then we waited for our food for 10 minutes IN THE DRIVE THRU. We asked if we needed to pull forward to let other customers get their orders but they said "nope you can stay." Unfortunately we drove off immediately after getting our food instead of checking it. My husband ordered a chili cheese coney, we got home to find a very barely chili covered TATER TOTS in a coney dog wrapper. No kidding, no bun, no hot dog and very little chili. Absolutely ridiculous! Just as some feedback, probably just let the customer know you're out of what they ordered and request to refund or ask if they'd like something else....don't put something random together and hope they notice. I have worked about 75 hours this week and yes its only wed. Every single time we go to the sonic drive thru we are missing part of our order. When you work that many hours in healthcare during covid all you want is to come home and get to eat dinne . The rest of my family did. I called and the 18yr old manager said he could do nothing for me. Eventually he said if I bring my credit card back maybe he could refund part of the order. Like I want to spend the time to drive all the way back there. Would give less than 1 star if possible. If its your only choice spend the time to double check your order before you leave theres a 100% chance its wrong and the only way to be helped is to drive back up ther . Not worth it. I'm surprised by the number of negative comments. I come here about once a week, usually just to grab a bite while running errands. Haven't ever had a mix up with my order. Love the bkfst burritos, foot longs and especially the green chili cheeseburgers. Tots too. I think some people's expectations are a bit too high for a place like this.

Update. 9/13/23 @ 9:15 am, went to drive thru, no response for 2-3 minutes, so I drove on around to the pick up window. Nobody inside. Sat there for a couple minutes. No visible employees. Drive back around to the place to order. Still nothing. Drove again to the pick up window. Nobody home. Had to leave...
