The food here is delicious and the service is good along with the restaurant space is big and inviting, however, there was a big negative and that is the temperature inside the restaurant when it’s hot outside and how they have it set up to change the temperature. So the thermostat is behind lock and key and if the owner isn’t there to change it, then it can’t be changed. I think that is messed up for the owner to control it like that. He should trust his shift manager to be able to manage how the restaurant operates in their shift. It was so hot inside the restaurant to the point of after sitting at the table, sweat started trickling down my forehead after 10 minutes. We asked our server to please have the thermostat adjusted and she said that the owner keeps it locked and what the temp was is how it would have to be. One of the people that was in my party has health issues and has been known to literally faint when he gets too hot. Thankfully he didn’t faint during our meal, nonetheless, it was extremely uncomfortable for everyone inside the restaurant temperature wise. I understand having to keep operating costs as low as possible, but you have to have a comfortable environment for your customers even when it’s 100 degrees outside. Aside from this conundrum, the food was delicious and the service was exceptional. Our server, Stephanie, was able to handle our 10 top and all of her other tables with excellent customer service and never lagged in refills or any other requests. She was excellent and every other server I’ve ever had here is the same with excellent service. There is plenty of parking and they even have a patio. The prices are fair for this day in ages costs, however, I thought that the margaritas were pretty expensive and they don’t have prices listed on the drink menu. I ordered a skinny margaritas using Hornitos tequila and it cost $19! I was shocked by that. The bar has ample seating and the restaurant itself has so many tables. Very nice and...
Read moreIt was a nice place, but I was disappointed in the food, I had the Carne Asada which was on the dry side. Not sure why the Guacamole was so confusing, apparently they have two different ones (besides getting charge the wrong amount) it was so bland no flavor, when I spoke to one of the owners I was told that if you are looking for authentic you won't find that anywhere, wow!! I have been to several Mexican restaurants and have had great tasting Guacamole, some place even make it fresh at the table with lime, cilantro, etc.. this one had tomatoes & some onions, little flavor. I was going to get the mexican corn but after being told it was only one ear for $6.99 (again unheard of) I decided against it. Would I go back probably not, I found the owners responses a bit on the dismissive side, not what I would expect when giving some feedback. They might want to work on flavor profiles. I was a bit surprised when we received the bill too, you couldn't see any details it looked like a adding machine receipt, and there were two taxes on there I was told which I found odd as well, I like to see what I am paying for not have to...
Read moreFirst trip to this location and the location itself is great: wide open, lots of space between tables (so not as noisy as some Mexican restaurants), great place for large groups. The large space did make it feel a little generic, like it is connected to a hotel (like it is), which was odd since it's a local restaurant and not a chain but felt like a chain. Service was new but friendly and efficient. My whole family agreed that the food is above average compared to other Mexican restaurants in town, but then again, so are the prices. One complaint, as others have mentioned, is that I don't understand why there wouldn't be prices and sizes on the drink menu, especially since drinking is a big part of most Mexican restaurants. Combined with their slightly high prices, it's a pointless decision that is going to cause too many people to leave with a bad taste in...
