My family enjoyed their breakfast buffet after church a couple weeks back. Food quality and selection was better than I expected given the reviews. It's good home style southern cooking, family style buffet not a country club experience. That being said, my entire family, including the picky eaters loved it and want to go back to try their dinner buffet soon. In regard to the service, I believe everyone needs a little grace these days. After speaking with our server, they have been super busy since moving into their new location and can't get enough help. Considering our server was one of two for the entire floor, I thought the service we received was fabulous. Looking forward to going back!

I'm absolutely thrilled Farmers Family Restaurant is still open! They've moved twice since I started coming to it back in it's original location. You will not find a better southern country buffet ANYWHERE. The selections are numerous and amazing, everything from the collard greens to the fried oysters is seasoned perfectly. Want cobbler? There's 3 different kinds and bread pudding with fresh peaches and raisins. Gator tail and frog legs? Friday night is your night! The salad bar is stocked with different greens. Farmers has an amazing crew and the atmosphere is great, they even brought the log-cabin-esq wood from the last location so it's perfectly familiar. Go here, eat up, be merry!

Worst buffet I’ve ever experienced. Gonna get that out of the way real quick. Absolutely horribly overpriced and the food is lukewarm at best. The staff here is also the most unfriendly I’ve ever seen in a sit-down Restaurant atmosphere. The food was bland and lacking flavor and the plates on the line still had visible grime on them! I experienced the breakfast buffet. Don’t even bother “giving this place a try” it isn’t worth your time, money, energy, or frustration. Pass.

Went there tonight for "surf and turf" and it is absolutely the most disgusting food I've ever eaten. Most of the food had absolutely no flavor. The price is absolutely insane for the poor quality of food. The steak was overcooked (no way to ask for your choice of done). The shrimp was so badly overcooked that it was like eating a rubber toy. The seafood salad..... Well.... There is no way to describe the taste. The mayonnaise that they use is way to overpowering to make the seafood pop. The frog legs tasted exactly like their fried chicken except the frog legs weren't so dry that they make sandpaper seem more appealing. The yeast roll tasted like it was starting to ferment before they cooked it. The shrimp and crab salad was one of the few things I ate that actually tasted good. It would have been better if not overloaded with imitation crab. The crab cakes looked more like burnt crab sandpaper. They were thinner than crepes and smaller than a piece of McDonald's cheeseburger meat. The stuffed crab.... Now that is something else entirely. All I could taste was straight stuffing mush with no seasoning. It had absolutely no flavor of crab to it. The Mac and cheese... My god... How the hell do you screw up Mac and Cheese that bad? It was so badly watered down that the cheese was looked like yellow water. The noodles looked and tasted like they were only boiled for literally one minute then strained. The sweet potato was undercooked and was boiled with no butter or anything to add any type of taste. The salmon was cooked in a sweet chili sauce and it was good, but could have been a lot better. Their "best catfish around" is 150% outdone by gas station catfish. It tastes like straight cornmeal, the fish was as flat as a pancake and was not juicy at all. The ice cream tasted like cheap ice cream that had thawed out, refrozen and then freezer burnt. If you like flavor. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME NOR MONEY ON THIS ESTABLISHMENT!!! If you want great tastings food head down to Shefs Kitchen in Lawrenceburg TN. They have absolutely great tastings food with...

My recent outing to Columbia's Family Restaurant with a friend turned into a frustrating ordeal. We had high expectations for a delightful dining experience, especially as it was a buffet, but the evening took an unexpected turn.

Excitement filled the air as we approached the buffet, and I, being a diabetic, was particularly interested in their promise of sugar-free options. Upon inquiry, the staff assured me that the sugar-free offerings were indeed free of sugar, even displaying a sign to emphasize the point. Trusting their assurance, I loaded up my plate with various tempting dishes, only to discover later that some items did, in fact, contain sugar.

When I sought clarification from the staff, their response was shockingly indifferent. The manager confirmed the oversight without a hint of apology, even though my health had been put at risk. In a situation where a sincere apology would have been expected, their lack of accountability was infuriating.

Regrettably, the consequences of this miscommunication escalated, leading me to seek medical attention at the hospital. Despite informing the restaurant of the urgency and severity of the situation, they remained unapologetic, offering only a meager $4 discount on the total bill.

Our visit to Columbia's Family Restaurant left us frustrated and disappointed, not only due to the unintentional sugar intake but also the complete disregard for our well-being by the management. While the buffet spread and some dishes were enjoyable, the negligence in addressing a serious health concern overshadowed any positive aspects of our dining experience.

In summary, Columbia's Family Restaurant may offer a variety of dishes at their buffet, but their handling of a crucial dietary issue was infuriating. For those with dietary restrictions or health concerns, I would strongly advise exercising caution and thorough communication with the staff to avoid any...

This restaurant has really declined recently. The table was sticky with food crumbs stuck to it. The dishes were either dirty or still soaking wet. The food selection and quality were very disappointing. There was fried or baked chicken, fried or baked fish, goulash, and four kinds of BBQ'd meat. They do not serve fries or hush puppies when they have fish. The fried fish was too dry to eat, and the baked fish was slimy. I could not tell which type of meat the BBQ was (except ribs). The ribs were dry and tough, and there were several sharp pointy bones in some of them. The pulled BBQ already had sauce of some kind drizzled on top. One pan looked like pork, and I had no idea what the other was.

On top of that, they tried to charge my 8-year-old as an adult. $14 per plate (before tax and drink) for a LUNCH buffet with bad food and dirty dishes. We ate there months ago, and the food selection and quality were much better. They had steak and hamburger patties, fries, baked ham, pot roast, etc (not all BBQ). The waitress did a good job this time, but also lied about asking my child's age. The hostess looked miserable (not one smile), and the environment was depressing. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone in its current state. I will likely not go there again. They dropped off after moving locations, improved, and now have worsened again. Not worth a $75 gamble for a family of 5...
