I'd never been to a Bubble Tea store before, but I love teas and wanted to try a milky boba tea! When I called the store, the girl said their location wasn't set up for orders online or through the app, but she would gladly take a phone order & I could pay when I got there. Not knowing how their menu was set up or anything about this type of tea product, I was horrible at verbalizing what I wanted to order!! I wish I could remember the girl's name, she was so patient over a 20-minute call in helping, explaining the process, their items & how to order based on what hot teas I knew I liked!!! She deserves a raise for her patience with my bumbling inexperience!!! I got to the store & my order was already waiting at pick-up!! I wasn't physically able to stand long, due to a leg injury & my cane. However, the owner (tall, older gentleman) told me the price, I handed him the cash & said to keep the MUCH extra money as a tip!! I love the teas & waffles I purchased: an Earl Grey Coffee Milk Tea, 30% sugar, no ice with Black Pearls & Oreo crumbs, and an Earl Grey Milk Tea same extras. From the first call to this location to my finishing the goodies, my experience was nothing but stellar with everyone whom I came into contact with! Now that I know how it works, I will hopefully be trying them out a lot more soon!! First, I ordered two bubble teas and one waffle cake. Waffle cake was great, but I did not finish it with my tea, I forgot about it until I finished my dinner and backed to my car. Then, I was drinking my bubble tea and I feel that I drink something weird into my mouth. It was definitely not something that was supposed to be in my tea. I thought it was red bean first, but when I bite it, it is not smooth but crispy. I immediately spit it out and guess what? A fly. I felt so disgusted and disappointed so me and my husband decided to drive a half hour back to the store. But when we were at the door and required the refund of the order, you just kept asking me about what is wrong with my another cup of bubble tea. Excuse me? I don’t know the fly got into the container with the bubbles or the tea so I have no idea if another cup was affected or not, and my husband even finished his tea before I drink mine. Their menu is too complicated- with so many options you’d think you’d be able to customize more but some flavors are only available without tea etc. If it’s not on the menu you’re not getting it. This place is more expensive than any other place in Columbia that sells Boba, not as good as them, and even ordering it is difficult. The young people behind the counter don’t speak up or try to be friendly and there’s too much echo with the blenders.
