Well me and two of my friends arrived there at approximately 5 ish.. it was still light outside. We ordered a variety of dishes as we often go to new restaurants to experience the food and hospitality. The waiter didn’t get his name was nice however. It was some issues with our food service. We waited almost 45 minutes for coffee, a yogurt smoothie, Diet Coke and tea. Then the Lamb Masala came out before the other items we ordered. We ordered (3) Butter Chicken, (2) order garlic Naan bread and appetizer that was the very last thing brought out. Food was delicious. But we felt discriminated against as every Caucasian customer received their food before we did although they entered the restaurant way after we did. When we arrived it was only (1) couple sitting in front of us. The restaurant was cold and we couldn’t enjoy our food. We were about to walk out but because I’m a co owner of a restaurant I understand a start up. We watched as they brought out multiple dishes to other customers steaming hot then our food was Lukewarm. The server apologized and tried to explain that the appetizer takes a long time to cook. However we seen (3) tables have appetizers brought out. This business needs a coach and front end management. African American people do enjoy Indian food too. Our bill was over $100 and I monitored the others orders in the restaurant and highly doubt they spent what we paid. The prices are reasonable like $14 per enteree so do the math. I will NOT...

Unfortunately, I have to change my review on this one. I came here with my family the first week they opened and had a decent experience. The food was good but the service was iffy. Recently brought a group of friends here and had a very different experience.

Went in on a Friday night and they only had one server (who I believe is the owner), but there were only 5 or 6 tables sat total the entire 2 hours we were there. He took our food order and never came back to the table. The food was very good, at least. The reason I'm taking the time to leave a review is he ended up standing at a table of teenage girls for 45 minutes and completely ignored every other table in the restaurant (those girls are less than half your age, creep, and they were visibly uncomfortable). After waving to get his attention multiple times, he literally hand waived us off over and over as if we were bothering him. We finally walked up to the table and said "hey man can we get our check?" and he did the hand waive thing again like we were bothering him (I repeat he had been standing at the teenage girl table for 45 minutes at this point). One of the cooks came out and took our payment finally after seeing us stand around for a bit.

A shame, because the food is good, but this place will not last with this kind of service. Also, it didn't affect my rating at all but just an fyi that they don't serve alcohol. We got bottled...

I love Indian food. I have always loved it since my cousin turned me on to it years ago. So I saw this restaurant and decided I would give it a shot. I have never had any negative experiences and was always treated well. Until I came across this place. I went in and ordered and sat down to wait for my food. I was looking at my phone when this guy (the owner?) came out of the back. I didn't think anything of it and as a matter of fact I didn't even look up. For some reason something told me to take a look at my surroundings. Lo and behold this guy is standing over me with his arms folded not saying anything. In an attempt to give him the benefit of the doubt I said hello. He didn't respond at all. He just stood there staring less than a foot away and hovering menacingly. I couldnt figure out what his problem was or why he chose me to try and intimidate so I just decided to leave. All I was doing was waiting patiently looking at my phone. He was only about 5' 4" and less than 150 pounds so he wasn't very intimidating. But then I thought does this guy have a weapon somewhere or something? People are crazy these days! With such unusual behavior I started thinking what if this guy is having some sort of mental episode? Long story short my fear got the best of me and I decided to make a hasty retreat. Needless to say I wont be back. If you decide to eat here I hope you have...

Beyond disgusting. The Butter Chicken has no flavor at all, absolutely zero, chicken seemed as it was spoiled. The Chicken Seekh Kebab, was just appalling, the kebab was hard as a stone. Very dry too, with absolutely zero flavor. The Butter Chicken, has to be the most expensive in Columbia. 10 ounces of food, with 8 ounces of rice, for $16.99. All the other restaurants give 16 ounces for the same price. The Mint Chutney was also sour, meaning it was not freshly made and just sat in the refrigerator for god knows how long. I need a refund through this restaurant to DoorDash. As DoorDash has told me to tell the restaurant to refund me. Reply to your response: The food was not good, it was basically spoilt. If you want to make it right, refund me my money that I just wasted on DoorDash. Also please to a quality check on your items. That was 10 ounces which were given to me for the butter chicken.

Was craving some Indian food and I am so glad I decided to come here for dinner the other day. Started with the mixed Pakora for the app and it was absolutely delicious. It had a nice fry on it and wasn’t oily at all. It came with a mint sauce and tamarind, which the tamarind was my favorite. Got the butter chicken for my entree and it was a 10/10. There was so much chicken and the sauce had amazing flavor. Also got some plain naan which was good but a couple pieces were a little burnt and that was the only negative about the entire meal. The place is cute and the service was great. We were told right away what things they were out of which is nice because some places only tend to tell you what they are out of as you are ordering. Indian music was playing in the restaurant and by the middle of my meal I was dancing along to it in my seat. Overall I give this place a 10/10

Happy to finally get some diversity in the culinary scene dwn in Five Points area of Soda City (Columbia, SC). Told about this spot from a coworker and it didn't disappoint. Our server Surashka (I believe is spelling) from Nepal was the sweetest ever!!. The menu is pretty vast I'd say. It's not a fancy restaurant at all w/ decor. Entertainment is a big screen telly showing Bollywood music vids, pretty kool. The food was freshly made so there's a wait for your order. Had appetizers - veggie samosas. Tasty w paired w/ tamarind and a mint based sauce. Hubby had a peanut chicken entree and I had the curry lamb w/c has a lil kick to it. Came w/ basmati steamed white rice. Portion sizes fairly large had enuff to take and eat next dy!!! Washed it all dwn with mango lassi, yummmm. Prices pretty reasonable. Would defitively return!!!
