If you’re craving authentic Korean food in Columbia, Missouri, I am Korean BBQ and Sushi is the place to be. From the moment you step through the door, you’re greeted with a cozy and warm atmosphere that immediately makes you feel at home. The service is friendly and attentive, with the staff eager to guide you through the menu, which is packed with classic Korean dishes.

One standout dish is the Bibimbap. The vibrant mix of vegetables, a perfectly fried egg on top, and the rich, spicy gochujang sauce creates a delightful harmony of flavors. The dish comes sizzling in a stone bowl, keeping the ingredients hot and crispy at the bottom—it’s a true comfort food experience.

Another must-try is the Bulgogi, marinated beef that’s grilled to perfection. The marinade is a balanced blend of soy sauce, garlic, sesame oil, and sugar, giving the meat a sweet yet savory flavor that’s tender and full of depth. Paired with a side of steamed rice, it’s a classic that never disappoints.

The Kimchi Jjigae (kimchi stew) is another highlight—spicy, tangy, and comforting. The broth is rich, with a depth of flavor that can only come from long-simmered kimchi and pork, providing the perfect balance of heat and umami.

Overall, I am Korean BBQ and Sushi in Columbia is a gem for Korean cuisine lovers. Whether you’re familiar with Korean food or new to it, the flavors, atmosphere, and attentive service will leave you coming...

Revisited restaurant last evening 9/25/25 and although there was seating the host that first avoided us for about 10 minutes to seat us came over and said I will seat you but "we are behind! Sat at the table for 20 minutes and host who was ONLY server never took even a drink order. When we pressed it the server told us that it would be another 30 minutes at least and there were at least 5 tables waiting so we left. Sadly we will not return this is the second time that this place runs short of help! Always the same excuse" we were caught off guard for how many would be here tonight"! 9/26/25

Very busy restaurant however the restaurant didn't believe that Memorial Holiday would be a busy day. ONLY had one waiter for ALL TABLES. Service for this day very slow, getting refills was difficult . Additionally the table was uncomfortable as you had to STRADDLE THE LEG POSTS TO SIT. The table should be bigger so you don't need to STRADDLE the legs. Food was delicious, superb! Will return to eat here again and pray for...

The best Korean-Japanese fusion in town! I've been coming here since the day they opened and let me tell you, it is extremely rare to find a restaurant at this caliber that is consistent and is continuously getting better and better! You are not here to dine, you are here for the experience! Your taste buds, your senses, your eyes will be delighted by anything and everything that you pick from the menu. The amount of preparation and work that the chef puts on every single dish still blows my mind up to this date. The service is excellent - everyone is attentive, helpful, knowledgeable about the menu, and friendly.

Koreans - you MUST check out their Korean-fusion menu. Everything is made fresh, in an open fire, using wagyu beef!

I always recommend this place for good sushi (obviously), but also for business functions and romantic dates. They will cater to your every need and...

This is my first time eating here since the new ownership has taken over. The food was very good, large portions and reasonably prices in my opinion. I started with some Korean Fried Chicken in their tangy, sweet & spicy sauce. The chicken was lightly breaded and more sweet than spicy which suited me just fine. It was a HUGE portion for an appetizer. My friend ordered a sushi roll and I ordered the Gui Pork Belly. They served a free Korean pancake with greens in a ginger dressing between the appetizer and our main dishes which I thought was really nice. My pork belly was a very large portion with 3 sides of fish cake, kimchi and pickled radishes. I'm looking forward to going back and tasting more of the menu. If you're looking for Korean food in Columbia, this is the place to go!

My husband and I have been a fan of this place for years now. It's fantastic. I think the quality of beef has gone down a bit since the establishment transferred ownership, and I'm dad you can't use the table grill anymore to fry your own food, but I still think it's a 5 star. I hope they bring back the grill in the near future, it really added a unique experience. The shrimp tempura is the best shrimp I've ever had. When getting it in the past, I don't remember having a sauce, but I got one today. It pairs really nicely. The prices are more reasonable than previously. I also like that I was able to try a Japanese side while visiting today. I would love if the owner added some Korean sodas I can try.
